Introduction I put together a video to illustrate what is definitely my favorite way to level in Wrath: Warlock Leveling: Aff/Demo in WotLK By Jynxx While The Burning Crusade leveling was strong with a healer, just casting instant-cast dots and using siphon life, along with instant Howl of Terror, Wrath of the Lich King gives us some very very nice... |

This build is still very viable for farming in 3.1. I used it to farm eternals like mad the other night. This is my take on the lv 80 version of SL/FG: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft I'm currently hit capped, so I took the points in Suppression and put 2 into Improved CoW to help me solo elites. The point in Grim Reach is just filler to reach the next tier, so you have 1 point to play around with. Since most of your healing would come from Siphon Life, you could go 1/2 Soul Siphon and 2/2 Grim Reach instead of the 2/2 Soul Siphon and 1/2 Grim Reach in the linked build. Also, there is a floating point between Shadow Embrace and Shadow Mastery. I figured that 5/5 Shadow Mastery was better than 5/5 Shadow Embrace, but that was just a gut feeling with no numbers to back it up. The demo tree is pretty much unchanged. Max out Demonic Embrace and put the rest in Fel Synergy for the first tier. Make sure you get the 1/1 Mana Feed and fill your way down to Fel Guard. The talent calculators in the OP need to be done again. They don't go past 21 or 29/18/0 anymore. Same for the older posts if any of their contributors also wished to update theirs as well. |

I am trying this build, after a long long time as full Affliction (pre-Wrath). My Warlock alt is getting more use, nowadays, and I actually really like what I've seen of this build. My Haunt/DP (with Succubus) build was great single-target, but this just shreds it to pieces for leveling. I can easily see myself using this to go from 71-80. I HIGHLY recommend trying this build... Basically all is do is SB a mob, while sending my FG in, then throw Curse of Agony and Corruption. Then I run to the next mob and start over. I have FG on Defensive, so he attacks anything that's agro'd on me. I just run from mob to mob with no downtime. It's unreal. The worst part of this build is having to run around looting stuff. There's literally a trail of dead bodies behind me. Muahaha |

Hi all  I was thinking about make my dual spec a elite quests/old istance solo build, something like this: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft What do you think? I'm still not sure whether to put 1 more point into Demonic Resilience, getting it from Demonic Tactics, Demonic Knowledge or Shadow Mastery

I'd work towards this: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft You can play around with it, but for levelling/grinding there is no point in doing something like Demonic Pact, Nemesis, or Decimation. I've recommended glyphs as well, namely Felguard, Curse of Agony, and Corruption glyphs. These are not what you'll use at 80, but for levelling they are awesome. Bear in mind you are mostly only casting Curse of Agony, Corruption, and SB... so these glyphs will be rocking. You won't have a ton of spirit, so the Life Tap glyph won't make sense yet. Buffed Curse of Agony and instant shadowbolts from Corruption proccing the glyph = win for this build. Keep in mind you are mainly doing instant DoTs with Curse of Agony and corruption, so I've invested points after 71 into buffing Corruption further, and buffing shadow damage with Shadow Mastery. If you are having trouble soloing some group quests, you can always pull some of those points out and put a couple in improved Health Funnel. Have fun, and at some point I encourage you to try a Metamorphosis build. I spent several levels on the way to 80 with 60 points in Demonology and I had a blast and I'm still a Meta fan.  Here is a fun one to try out in the mid 70's. Talent Calculator - World of WarcraftThis one goes to Meta, adds Nemesis so you have it available a LOT, and adds Destro tools to give your Shadowbolt great punch + Shadowburn for an instant finishing nuke. You can hit this build as early as 74 if you drop the 2 in Imp. Health Funnel and put those in at 75 and 76. Big fun! Maybe not as non-stop as the above builds, but with massive AoE OMGWTFBBQ mode with Meta, immo aura, Seed of Corruption, and Rain of Fire/Hellfire AoE bombing. Yes you will have some down time after you do the AoE Bombing, but you'll need time to pick up all the loot from the 10 mobs you just killed anyway.  Any warlock who has never tried this is missing one of the most fun talents in the game IMO. You might end up a cookie-cutter Destro raid spec at 80, so this is the time to enjoy the Meta goodness!
