Lootrank from coefficients obtained by simulationcraft
Here are some results that I've used in order to assess which gear I may or may not change at level 80. I have not yet double checked them, but hope it may be useful for others. As you may know, Lootrank is one of the sites which can rank gear based on the value of each characteristics (stamina/intellect/spell power/...). The missing link are this value: this can be obtained with a neat tool, simulationcraf... Last edited by Akasha; April 12, 2009 at 11:51 PM.. |

Re: Lootrank from coefficients obtained by simulationcraft
thanks for the updated numbers. I'm guessing there's no reason to run checks on popular hybrid builds like 41/30, 40/31 and 31/40? should be same as destruction right? |

Re: Lootrank from coefficients obtained by simulationcraft
Ok, the excellent news is that lootrank results are now output directly from simulationcraft, and thus you can find latest results here: SampleOutput - simulationcraft - Google Code @Talimar and Koldfeat: The hybrid specs were not checked because they are not part of the default simulationcraft raiding file, and I am lazy . But if you look closely, there is little difference between coefficients for demonology and coefficients for destruction. Only, for destruction, hit is valued higher and haste a little higher. In any case, note that the coefficients are valid for simulations with many buffs, and for a given set of stats (Naxx 10 gear). If you have different gear, the coefficients would be different. For instance, I did compute also coefficients for my gear (lower than Naxx 10), and indeed the ranking of some items in lootrank is different. Which raises the interesting question of short-term vs long-term gearing strategy. |
