Affliction Best in Slot
One of the issues with placing so much value in Hit (something that should be capped) is that you end up getting a lot of Best in Slot pieces with so much hit that altogether... its way too much. I put together a list of the perfect set with current available gear in my eyes. Note that for Hit, I found it to be much more beneficial to your DPS to gear for 13% Hit rather than 14% hit. Although it isn't very common, I've taken to getting hitcapped via gear or at least have the items to be able to. Depending on the raid or group I wear more or less hit items. To get that hitcap compared to the OP's list I've taken for now Cincture of Polarity, Bindings of the Expansive Mind and Signet of the Malevolent. Those 3 have the least impact on dps loss as far as I could tell, though it's mix and match atm and I don't get the 446 exactly. Those three are either in my bag or am currently wearing them depending on whatever the raid was at the time the armory shot was taken. Getting the items listed by the OP is what my current wishlist looks like so that's pretty much dead on  .

ok yr saying assuming you havwe +19sp and the other gem in slots..does that mean you ignore any other colour toplace them?it might be a noob q but ihavent got loadsa time to click on each and every garment here.... |

Whatever the color of the socket, just place the red +19 spelldam gems in it. For the Meta socket take the 25 spelldam and +2% int. For affliction that is the best choice for every piece of gear according to most theorycrafting.

The reason the list stays the same is that there are a limited ammount of ilvl 226 items to choose from and these tend to be best in slot for all specs (exception being the robe from 25maly which has mp5 on it) The next task is to figure out what item to leave out to get the 2p bonus; and the T7.5 shoulders combined with 10man maly robe is a better combo than t7.5 robe and maly25 shoulders (25maly pants are just too good to give up), so to keep the 2p bonus the 25maly shoulders are left out. Thumbs up to Rutiene for taking the time to put together this list

Hey Akasha: It's no big deal, but I updated this on April 2, 2009 and the icon still says its from 3.0.8. (Should be 3.0.9). Is it supposed to be manual?
