Trying to understand - do Warlocks really benefit from Spirit?

Changes in Patch 3.0.2 saw Warlocks look at Spirit in a different light. A confusing, mixed message light. This post aims to help Warlocks decide if Spirit is a stat they should be paying more attention to.

Haste - Is it really THAT good?
Haste - Is it really THAT good?

So, with all of the new gems now available to suck up all of my banked Badges, I find myself in a dilemna... I had originally planned to stack haste, really as much of it as I could. We just downed Illidan this week and I'm next in DKP and should complete my 4T6 within the next week or so. However, I have found that my current dps hasn't matched my theoretical by a few hundred on the dps meter...and yeah, latency, moving, tapping, chance, etc all weigh into it but I'm trying... The Haste vs Crit Theorycrafting Thread

I'm not much of a raider due playing mornings on a very quiet server, but I've noticed that the high end gear seems to be forcing a choice between spell haste and crits. How Much Crit % to Switch from Affliction to Destro?

How Much Crit % to Switch from Affliction to Destro? Author: Warpy Posted: June 09, 2008 02:13 PM This question has been asked in the Warlock's Den forums over and over, and the answer is generally: But why? Is there anything special about 25%? I used a spreadhseet model to have a look at the damage contribution of two key Shadow Bolt (SB) talents, Improved Shadow Bolt and Ruin, at various levels of spell crit in a previous blog entry. The results were not cut and dried,... Read more

About + Spell Damage
About + Spell Damage

About + Spell Damage When people talk about spell damage, also known as +dmg, they are usually referring to the buffs, talents and equipment pieces that state "Increases damage and healing done by spells and effects by ... " or similar. Many items will increase damage from all magical schools, while some items will only increase damage done by a particular school. These items can also increase your healing, but as Warlocks we are only interested in the damage... Read more
