Not only by that Meta Gem. Later on in the game, you should be gemming Purified Twilight Opal into your blue slots. Comes out to be 11.4 SD per gem. Right now you'd gain, +16 haste and +6.4 SD with the Intricate Forest Emerald So the stat difference and relative dps values come out to be (0/20/51 build): With Ember Skyflare => +63 SD (62.37) With Chaotic Skyflare => +21 Crit, +9% Crit Damage, +16 Haste, +6.4 SD (28.796, +9% Crit Damage) +9% Crit Damage is worth about 113 dps for someone with 50% Crit raid buffed and with 5k dps. So yes, worth it. =] |

Not being critical but apart from Loatheb fight I cant see how anyone can get 50% crit raid buffed to make that gem worth it, its an expensive shift from what i have thats all so i want to be certain i will get the dps increase as (im 0/41/30 atm) S_W |

+5% Crit from Boomkin Aura. +10% Crit from Scorch. +5% Crit from Devastation. +3% Crit from Backlash. 50%-23% = 27% Crit from Gear. Or 572 Crit Rating. I mostly chose 50% because its attainable and made calculations easy. Basically, for Chaotic Skyflare Diamond to be better than Ember Skyflare Diamond you want [(Crit Chance*Your Damage to be)/2]*9% > than 33.574. Assuming 4.5k damage (I'm guessing that's more in line with how much you do?): Let x be your breaking point Crit chance: [(x*4500)/2]*9% = 33.574 (x*4500)/2 = 373.04 4500*x = 746.0888 x = 0.16579 Or 17% Crit chance. As shown above, you should be getting +23% Crit from raid buffs and talents alone. So no matter what, its worth it. |

Wowhead is now saying that New Darkmoon Card: Crusade is only 8 SP per stack. Would this make the trinket not worth getting anymore? |

euh only 80 spell power for this trinket. This doesn't worth the prince si even green trinket do better. Buy the egg og the mortal essence and you will get 98 sp + haste with fellarmor |

Thank you for transferring your time and work into a helpful guide! I do agree with most parts, disagrees are mainly in areas of 'personal preferences'. I would hardly ever gem or enchant for crit on yellow 'cause balance of stats should be seen raid buffed and crit is tons a penny in Wrath of the Lich King raids, while haste is not. Get a crit trinket to balance if needed (PUG10s often show up with suboptimal Combo or 5 mens, but 5 mens hardly ever matter^^). Just my 2 cnts. |
