Re: Pet Macro Guide
Getting rid of the "Pet Macro Page" to replace the link with the guide above. Copy + Pasting info here for those wanting any macros not listed above: Succubus Seduce Upon use, the macro will Focus your target, and have your succubus Seduce it. When used for the second time, and your Focused target, i.e. the Seduction target, is alive, it will re-seduce it, regardless of what your current target is. It will not focus your current target, and seduce that; it will re-seduce it's focused target. If used during Seduction, it will break the seduction and re-seduce the focused target. If clicked while "Alt" is being pressed, it will cancel the previous focus and assign a new focus on your current target. #show Seduction /clearfocus [modifier:alt] /focus [target=focus,noexists]; [target=focus,dead] /clearfocus [target=focus,help] /petstay /petfollow /stopcasting /cast [pet:succubus,target=focus,exists,harm] Seduction; SeductionSuccubus Seduce (Without breaking current focus) If you use focus for other things, this macro will help you keep your focus target, while seducing. Either right or left click to seduce first time. Left click to re-seduce. Right click to change target and seduce that instead. If you left click before seduce is over it will break seduce and re-seduce in one go. If you let seduce run out the succubus will attack that mob. If your succubus is fighting something and you left click it will try to its current target, right click if you want it to seduce something else. - Thankyou to Tahl, Jaedenar Euro PvP for sharing. [ Link ] #showtooltip seduction /stopmacro [nopet:succubus] /petfollow /petattack [target=pettarget] /cast [button:1,target=pettarget] Seduction /cast [button:2,target=playertarget] SeductionFelhunter Devour Magic Left clicking will Devour Magic off your current target. Right clicking will devour it off you. /cast [button:2,target=player] Devour Magic; Devour MagicFelhunter Devour Magic (Semi-intelligent) If target is friendly, he gets dispel priority over my mouse - over target (if he's friendly), who gets dispel priority over me, who gets dispel priority over the felhunter himself. Finally, the macro will devour off your current target if all else fails (to be used offensively) /cast [help] Devour Magic; [target=mouseover,help] Devour Magic /cast [target=player] Devour Magic /cast [target=pet] Devour Magic /cast Devour MagicFelhunter Spell Lock This macro will Spell Lock your pets target if he has one, or yours if he doesn't. #showtooltip /cast [target=pettarget, harm] [] Spell LockVoidwalker Shield/Fel Domination/Summon Voidwalker This will Sacrifice your VW, Cast Fel Domination, and then summon another VW. Will only work in combat. #showtooltip /stopmacro [nocombat] /stopmacro [nopet:voidwalker] /cast [pet:voidwalker] Sacrifice /cast fel domination /stopcasting /cast summon voidwalkerFel Domination Summoning/Soul Link This macro will summon your imp with a normal cast. If you already have an imp summoned, it will cast Soul Link. If you are in combat and have any pet OTHER than the imp (which is alive), it will cast Fel Domination and summon the imp. You can force the macro to not cast Fel Dom by holding down any modifier key. This macro can be changed for your other pets by replacing the pet:imp and Summon Imp with the appropriate pets (felhunter, felguard, voidwalker, succubus). #showtooltip /cast [pet:imp,nodead] Soul Link /cast [combat,nomodifier] Fel Domination /stopcasting [combat,nomodifier] /cast Summon ImpPet attack totems Arena macro for targeting shaman totems are highest importance then sending a pet to attack it. This will change your target. Obviously you can modify this to your own liking. Put the most important totem last. This will change your target since it does not utilize focus. /tar Windfury Totem;/tar Earthbind Totem;/tar Mana Tide Totem;/tar Tremor Totem;/tar Grounding Totem;/petattack;

Re: Pet Macro Guide
I'm looking for a really simple way to accomplish the following on a single button. Typically, my /petattack is preceded by /asssistx to ensure that my pet is attacking the target of my tank. So, I'd like my mac to look something like /assist x /petattack however, I'd like the same button to be able to, when alt is pressed, toggle "/petfollow" Is this even possible? Any guidance would be appreciated. Edit: Did a little research and I THINK I figured a simple solution out. The idea here is that many times while in a raid or boss fight, you need to reposition. Leaving your Imp behind, tends to get it killed. The general rule of thumb should be, when you move, your pet moves (Imp). Easy solution is: /assist x /petattack [nomodifier] /petfollow [modifier:alt] I typically just comment out the /assist x if I am soloing #/assist x The assumption here, also, is that your pet is always on passive and that you spam your /petattack macro to ensure that your pet is always on the target that your tank is on. (ideal for pet survivability). I'm not saying that this is the only way, just a good way to keep your pet alive and thus, your pet DPS pumping. Last edited by Latuya; January 21, 2009 at 01:21 PM.. |

Re: Pet Macro Guide
Another macro I use (particularly useful on Sarthirion and Anub'Rekhan, among others) is a 'toggle' macro for /petpassive and /petdefensive. I keep this macro on one of my extra mouse buttons for quick-fire use! Code:
/petdefensive /petpassive [target=pettarget,exists] To expand this slightly, if you so need, here's the preemptive passive version: Code:
/petdefensive /petpassive [target=pettarget,exists][mod:alt]

Re: Pet Macro Guide
I just completed updating the Pet Macro Guide and reviewing it for 3.1 There were some serious inconsistencies for whatever reason (my fault), so those have been corrected. I also updated the wording a bit to include Wrath content. Let me know of any issues with the guide, it's macros or wording. Also, if you have new / better / different macros, feel free to post them here and I will try to include them as well.

Re: Pet Macro Guide
Very interesting stuff. I couldnt play a pet build nowadays without a /petdefensive /petpassive bound to the mouse. I also tend to play with /petaggressive in my attack macros, takes a little practice not mess it up, but it really ensure the felguard will do his cleaves and intercept as soon as its of cd, keeping management down to recall him when he takes heavy damage. But what I really would like to be able to do is get a macro that toggle between follow and stay. Do you guys know how this can be done? |

Re: Pet Macro Guide
It appears to be impossible to directly toggle /petstay and /petfollow. The best I've seen thus far is: Code:
/petstay [mod:shift] /petfollow [nomod]
