Soloing/farming instances

Warlock fans,

I was curious as to which instances are best to solo mainly for profit. If any of you know some good ones, please explain your strategy on how you go about soloing the instances. I hear Black Rock Depths and parts of Dire Maul are good but I have no clue as to how you would fight/run past mobs to get to bosses or fight mobs that are not banish-able, enslave-able, or seduce-able.

I'd suggest going into Maradon. If you have a felgaurd you can tank all the bosses and spend less than around 8 shards total. I came out of Mara twice so far with about 12gold and around 5 Large Radiant Shards and a 26 silver repair bill. Well worth the 8 shards (that are free to us) and also profitable if you have the time. Spent about an hour and half to down them all.

Re: Soloing/farming instances

Howdy,

Well i have never tried to farm any of the higher level instances so can't comment on those. But hey everybodies favourite farming hole SM, scarlet monestary is easy, all wings no worries, end up with a stack of green, some blue and plenty of gold. I have not done it with my Lock (did it with a pally) but i am sure be easy enough with my felguard buddy.

Is trying to farm BRD and DM actually worthwhile (any of the high level instances basically)? serious question, i have see the videos of people farming incendius and other bosses, but is it actually worth the hassle? or more just for bragging rights? hey guess what i just soloed raganros blah blah

cheers,
J

What were the 8 shards used on?

I haven't done it myself yet, but I believe the advantage of farming Incendius is that it only takes 10-20 minutes to get in and kill him and from the items he drops you normally get at least 1 large brilliant shard (about 8g value depending on server).
As it doesn't take very long you can do it 3 or 4 times in an hour before you get locked out of the instance, so you can make quite a bit of money from selling the shards in a very short space of time.

Re: Soloing/farming instances

Well one of the more fun spots in an instance but you need a raid to clear to it is the imp packs in ZG. not bad money, felcloth + random quest drops. Normally join a pug they clear in so far and i sneak over to the imps or its not often they clear them to do that boss so its free pickings once they all leave.

Re: Soloing/farming instances

for straight gold, I find farming Twilight Texts to be the most profitable for me. There are always people trying to buy up their CC rep and they sell for about 1g per text on my server.

@Matsumoto

Yeah, twilight text goes for about 1g on our realm too. But, the problem with our economy on my realm is that EVERYTHING is lowering in price for some reason. ...and I am about to get to the bottom of this as to why everything including epics are becoming dirt cheap on Skywall.

Re: Soloing/farming instances

It's because people try out their new talents and earn honor in battlegrounds.

It's no point in doing anything else. You (eventually) get sweet epics by PvPing instead of spending a lot of gold on so-so blues/epics. Or, well, there's a big market for enchanters and ZG-farmers now, as people want their warlord stuff enchanted.

If you buy enough text to get exalted with CC, so what? Will you benefit from it in a month?
