Enslave - Nagrand

Just a small tip for you lonely locks out there who seeks some companionship from exotic demons. There are 2 camps with elite demons to the western part ofNagrand. I can strongly recommend the place because with your wonderfull enslave ability there isint anything you'd rather do than to enslave a nice Felguard fiend'ish dude and beat up his friends.

Im a level 66 warlock, enslave rank 3, affliction spec - i have currently rested xp which gives me arround 5k Google Page Ranking kill xp. and this doesnt take much longer than an ordinary kill, the only thing you use up pretty quickly is the shards - but fortunatly the developers have come up with a solution for that - they places 4 non elites all over the place to ensure we have enough shards >thank you blizz<.

My technique.:
Enslave demon > kill other demon > summon imp > fear demon > drain soul > /dance > repeat

If you happen to be assaulted by a memeber of the opposite faction, fear not - the felthingy hit for aprox. 1k and crits for alot for twice as much.

Re: Enslave - Nagrand

To add to this tip:

This was also posted on Thottbot about how a warlock can complete many of the group quests in Nagrand if they can enslave an elite demon at the forge camp and ride quickly to the quest location. I personally completed the mastery quests in Nagrand this way. (Though it was not fun when the demon broke free unexpectantly).
Good luck.

Beware:

My Elite demons keep on breaking and turning on me... I cast CoS, FG intercept, cast Enslave. He will be enslaved but break seconds after, killing me quickly

Re: Enslave - Nagrand

I'm confused about your post Vesien. CoS, FG intercept (this is why I'm confused), and then enslave.

How are you enslaving the Elite demon when you already have an active pet? You can only have 1 active pet. Since I haven't tried this I have no clue if automatically lose your current pet when you enslave.

I have had no problem enslaving the Elite demons. I DS my pet, usually succy, and then CoS/enslave. Then it's 5 minutes of supreme butt-kicking.

Re: Enslave - Nagrand

The only quests that can be a problem while enslaving are the Ring of Blood (due to event length) and Durn the Hungerer (Durn is too tough).

Funny note about Durn, though. Given a healer, your enslaved Felguard Legionarre is a more than sufficient tank for that fight. I routinly 3- or 4- man the 5-man quest with this tactic.

What's fun is to enslave when you are battling for Halla. Nothing is better then riding over the bridge on your fiery mount with an fel guard close behind.

You never have to dismiss your pet when you are getting a new one. The old one just disappears. I find the best way to enslave a demon is to get my current pet to aggro it for a couple hits, cast CoS, then enslave. That way I have the elite demon smashing a pet instead of my squishy face, and if I get a resist I have some distance between us so I can get the hell out of dodge!

If you enslave a demon, the pet you had out will disappear to be replaced by your enslaved demon.

This trick does work great, but remember that the demons are 67-68 elites. Best to be about 66 before doing this. I never had one break on me and go berserk.

Re: Enslave - Nagrand

Yeah you can only have one demon out but when you enslave the elite yours vanishes. Just like if you summoned a succy instead of a Fel Guard. I have been meaning to DS my minion but I never think about it till it's to late.
