In fight, Destro is MUCH easier to manage then Affliction, imo.

Affliction: 1 Curse, 4 DoTs + Shadowbolt

Destro: 1 Curse, 1 DoT + Shadowbolt

Managing your aggro with 4-6k crits every 4 spells is a different story though ;)

Ain't that the truth when you start chaining crits.

As to my comment about Mana Pots, the GCD is the reason that I use them. I use to just use health pots, but LT causes the GCD, and that is lost casting time. I still LT, once every immolate. I also noticed that my raiding healers will top me off every time I LT...

Anyway.
The best spec I've ever gotten is Destruction, however the aggro was horrible. I got kicked out of so many instances because of it.
The second is demo, it's cool.
Affliction, however awesome, was confusing. I never got why when my specs were good, my UA did less than Curse of Agony and Corruption.
Now, I have the perfect spec line.
is it as follows.
Until you get 500 spell damage naturally, no fel armor, go 5/41/11. That way you get some bonus spell damage in affliction, plus insta-cast. In demo, you get the felguard, who owns. In destruction, you get fast cast shadowbolt and soul fire, plus shadowburn, which is awesome.
Upon hitting 500 spell damage naturally, no fel armor, I suggest you go 41/9/11 (finished talent line at 70). The affliction gives you the awesomest spec, the demo gives you improved imp for blood pact and more mana for you and your pet if you spec that way. In destruction, again, fast cast shadowbolt and soul fire, plus shadowburn.

This is just my suggestion, don't go strait up anything.
Follow this, and you're guarenteed great PvP and PvE succes.

Destro 0/21/40 > Demo 6-44-11 > Affliction

afflictions the best spec to take if your +hit isnt high, as it is the least gear dependant spec.
Once once you approach the 202 hit cap and 1000+ damage destro and demo become capable of pushing out more DPS and more total damage in "most" raid encounters.

and they dont suffer with the problems of dot's getting knocked off by full debuff slots (which still happens a hell of a lot with a few locks and shadow priests in a raid)
