New to 0/21/40

Since I got the sword from gruul and I saw that without any talent to increase my crit, I was at 20 % + crit rating( above 28 % with talent for a DS/Sf build). Since my guild as already 2 affliction lock, I choose to go DS/SF build to keep the impSB debuff up.

My hit rating is a little low ( 115 for about 9.5%) but we are just are 3/6 in SSC and 1/4 in The eye.

So I wa swondering, what is the best spell rotation.

I think It should be something like Corr, Immo, SB, SB ,SB, SB and we begin again.

Ive Heard , that using conflagrate make you loose dps, since its not instant cast but 1 sec cast ( because of the global CD).

So any advice on how I should play my new build.?

Your right about conflag and the other problem with it is the amount of mana it uses. You can use conflag during trash if you want but dont bother on the boss unless hes at 1% and you got extra mana to burn.

As far as rotation, that looks ok. I personally don't use corruption in my rotation but theorycrafting shows its still useful in most cases. Sometimes if I end up close enough that I can use it, I do. But most cases I am at a max range and I don't bother moving just to cast it.

So yes, Corruption - Immolate - SB spam and reapply dot's when they expire. Try to have something always casting to make the most of your time. If immolate (1.5sec cast) expires in 2.1 seconds, just cast another shadowbolt instead of waiting for immolate to expire...you DO NOT want to reapply a dot with the same dot still ticking on the target. If your high in threat with soulshatter on cooldown (or your saving it for something specific), lifetap and drain life back while you wait for the tank to catch up.

So since you said you usually don't use corruption, do you normally just Immolate-SB spam the whole fight?

I've been wondering for some time if moving in and casting Corruption (since it's not instant cast) was worth it or not. I usually do, but I've noticed that my dps seems to slightly increase when I let Corruption fall off and keep SB spamming for a while.

if it was me i would prolly use Curse of Agony instead of corruption since you dont got talents in corruption so it inst instant. but maybe thats just my opinion.

Well, I'm talking more about for boss fights where I usually have CoS / CoE up the whole time. Should I be moving in for 1.5 sec cast Corruption, or just Immolate-SB spamming?

I will test it out tonight in The Eye and see how it goes.

And even then... I will use CoR before Curse of Agony, unless its a heavy caster raid.
