Advice needed.
Hey there,
Well I just hit 51 on my undead lock and from a friends advice I tried out being demon spec'd. I've heard this is the best leveling spec is this true? if so for what kind of leveling? I tend to grind out most of my levels is this the most efficent form of leveling for my gear/spec/level? or should I be off questing? I'll get a link to my armory in a few minutes. won't load it for me right now. Thanks ![]() |

I find that demo is alright but the felguard is not that great and you depend upon your pet to much. (in pvp I don't like it.) Affliction is good but my favorite is destruction and 10 points in affliction. I make it up as I go along just whatever seems good i put a point in.

You should try to combine questing with grinding. Grind in areas with large amounts of "Kill X mobs" and "Collect X drops" quests. This way you can go out and grind for an hour, then come back and turn in several quests when you repair/vendor/train.
Drain Tanking with Affliction is definitely the most efficient method of grinding at your level, but the Felguard is also very good. Felguard definitely gets a lot better once you hit 55-60ish because of supplemental talents you get from other trees. Going 60-70, I'd say Felguard and Affliction are equal. |

Re: Advice needed.
I would not recommend felgaurd if you are a new player to world of warcraft (have played less than 3 months non-game time). Felgaurd requires a lot of micromanaging and requires precision on when to use the felgaurd's abilities to create the best outcome of your grinding to level up.
Affliction I would recommend as you can dot up monsters that you must kill for quests and experience while you lifedrain tank the mobs that are fully dotted up. You will notice your downtime is less frequent than other leveling builds. Note: People do not realize that you do not lose durability from getting hit by melee in combat but rather you lost durability from staying in combat; besides dying and losing durability that way. With this being said, drain tanking like what Pickleman said is a good recommendation even if the monsters are bashing on you, you will still get the same durability loss if they weren't hitting you due to the fact that you were in combat.
