Need help killing a hunter

as you all know in patch 2.3, blizz removed deadzone from hunters making them even more harder to get real close for clothies (mages, priests and locks) , my questions is how do you actually kill them? i'm currently having the most trouble with BM hunters, especially their pets

Hunters usually do the following in bg: ( takes like 2 mins to kill me )
sends pet in, pop BW, Silence shot, Concessive shot (when i get real close to him, he quickly put down a poison snake trap thing (sorry i dont know what it is called) poison me which slow my movement down when the hunter get far enough distance from me , he rinse and repeat, usually at this point i'm down to 10% health and the BM effect wears off. Finishes me off with a aim shot as i started to run away. when i die he come over laugh, spit then loot corpse which kinda make me frustrated because he always the one kills me with the same way

i'm open to any suggestions or advices that could help me last a bit longer when i encounter a hunter in bg in future

There's absolutely no way possible to beat a hunter that has bestial wrath and silence shot, mainly because there's no such hunter as those are both talents at the bottom of their respective talent trees. I don't even bother getting close to them just staying close enough to dot. As SL/SL I just drain tank em. Amp. Agony, SiLi, Corruption, DL, DL, DL usually works. Yea they have a 50% reduction in healing with Aimed shot but with the Felhunter biting his ankles, and a well timed DC if necessary, he won't get it off and he's usually dead. Good luck!

LoS them, make it so they can shoot at you, dot them up run behind a pillar, they will send in the pet which you then kill.

Also you don't seem to have any pvp gear on atm, what sort of gear do you have? It really makes a difference with a full set of season 2 gear

i have some bits and pieces of veteran gears like veteran's dreadweave cuff and the veteran's silk belt, pendant of dominance and sergent's heavy cape. The rest of the gears i made it myself from tailoring and the pants from a quest which i've done long time ago.

First, why do you try to run into him?
Second why do you run away when low life? Forget getting out of range.

Burst damage is the key. Use all you got, every instant, DC+fear+fear if not BM, Shadowburn if you have it. If you see your immolate getting disrupted , instead of just stand there or run circles waiting to reaaply dots, use your wand.
And dont forget to retarget/re send pet when he feign dead.

But know that this is hunter killer spec and it wont work against every class.

First of all you have %20 more range for affl and dest. spells which will help you a little bit with the insane range of hunters.

The first thing he will do is sending his pet. Just put a CoW and then ignore the pet. Get him in your range, start with SBurn then put Corr, CoW and start draining immediately.

During the combat, your corr and drain life will probably spec nigtfall at least once while the crazy pet will spec backlash at least twice. Use all these instants on hunter. If you have a chance for immo, just do it with a conflg. finish. Else, keep draining and refreshing only Corr. After all these if he's still alive then run away cause no one may kill this guy.

umm i guess i'm kinda used to the old way to kill a hunter, DOTs pet and hunter , fear pet , run up to him and iHOT then spam DL, SB and when the pet's fear about to break, recast fear , rinse and repeat . i think it's my natural instinct to run off when i am about to die, hope i could get out of range but it is pretty stupid lol

Ok. Since you'll give a try , one last advice. You may start with a VW and when necessary, sacrifice it for the shield and use HS. Also don't forget to use DC and PVP trinket or your wand whenever silenced.

DoT both hunter and pet. Kite the pet away from the hunter (with CoE, if you have it), which in turn kites him (hunter) and try to outlast BW. Then reverse course and make the hunter pay. Also I use the LoS method. GL
