Spell Haste
Dont know if this is where this topic goes but I just have a few questions about Haste.
I know its not our #1 stat but I was wondering if anyone knew how much spell haste you needed to get UA as an instant cast. Is it even possible? Second, is there an enchant that gives spell haste? Thanks in advance |

Re: Spell Haste
Even if you could get it down to instant (which I don't think there is enough available haste gear to do anything like that) it would still have a 1.5 sec global cooldown. So the damage per cast time would be the same.
It takes about 240 haste rating to shave .5 seconds off a cast. It doesn't seem like a good pvp option at this point. Last edited by abar22; November 28, 2007 at 11:17 AM. |

Re: Spell Haste
yeah, i was thinking more of a pvp/arena use rather than pve. CoE Kiting and being able to run and throw Corr, UA, SiLi all at instant cast seems like a fun trick. I hate that I have to stop to cast it.
I guess there really isn't any pvp gear with haste on it that I would want to sacrifice the Stam for. Just kinda feeling it out, really |

Re: Spell Haste
I doubt you'd be able to get it even past 50% cast time reduction with spell haste.
Well if ever they did that, it would mean ALL your spells would be insta-cast, since spell haste is percentage based. 15.7 rating = 1% cast time reduction meaning 157 = 10% cast time reduction, meaning on a shadow bolt it would be 0.3 seconds reduced (on non talented SB) or a 0.1 reduction in fear or UA imagine getting a 50% reduction or higher.. that would mean 1.5s Shadowbolts! o_o tempting really. :D Edit: of course this doesn't consider MSD procs :D Last edited by Kyriel; December 16, 2007 at 04:52 AM. |

Re: Spell Haste
I don't know if you could. get a cast time spell to instant via haste. It'll keep decreasing the spell's cast time until it's like 0.000001 of a second (theoretically, in reality you'll never have that much haste). But it still won't be instant.
