Help with arena
I just spec sl/sl for arena. What am I supposed to do? Do I dot everyone up or do I go after one person. Have about 1065 spell damage with pet. I know with this spec I am supposed to drain life and all the gear I have is for raiding. Ive done pvp alot but this is way different. Any advice would be great. I am only part of a 5v5 team. 1 holy paly 1 resto druid 2 hunters and me.

Re: Help with arena
At least spam SL and corruption on everyone, plus full dot the target. If the other team leave you alone , I would throw in some mana drain and SB if it proc) on their healer.
It's hard to tell 'what to do' , it really depends on the other team and the strategy. If you want to burn them, CC and max damage , if its a long fight, killing others pets or CoT on the frost mage pet plus mana drain usually pays off. -Stanis |

Re: Help with arena
with 2 hunters your team will be relying on traps for CC (in addition to cyclone and fear, but those do not instantly break from dots) so I would be careful about dotting up everything in sight.
Your team can try to mana drain tactics (2x viper sting/1 mana drain) or burst tactics (hunter mortal strike + tongues + rotating CC on enemy healer(s) of cyclone, fear, spell lock, scatter shot), but the key will be for everybody to know what the strategy and targets are so that you're working as part of a coordinated strategy rather than trying to kill people on your own. |

Re: Help with arena
It usually depends on the team composition. My usual job is to disrupt their healing and do damage. I usually do this by sending my felhunter on their healer and casting spell lock whenever he is healing, this locks his healing spells for 6 s. Curse of tongues is great on the healers as well.
Then I usually run around and cast corruption and siphon life on all targets I can tab to. This increases the chance of getting a nightfall proc. Last game I had three procs in 6-7 seconds. That made for one very dead and very surprised rogue. Of course fearing healers and stunlocking rogues should be done alot. Make sure your healers are kept safe. Drain life is a great spell since it has no cast time. Without bane, you rarely have the time to cast shadowbolt. So for me, my main damage spells corruption, siphon life, curse of agony, drain life, searing pain and nightfall procced bolts. I rarely drain mana, but if you have a priest specced for mana burn that is a great tactic. |

Re: Help with arena
As you are SL/SL, opponents will try to kill your DPS monster but fragile hunters first and CC your pally and druid. So with the help of felpuppy you must spell lock and fear one of their CC classes. Best way is to use 2 different focus macros one for spell lock another for fear. Focus on SP, lock, mage or druid. Send your pet with petattack. A quick CoT. Put SiLi and Corr on possible targets, choose your primary target put Curse of Agony, CoT , CoW or drain depending on the class. Wait for a critical spell for focus spell lock. You need to have a target and focus cast frame too. Help your pally or druid with devour magic if they are CCed. Basicly what you'll do is lock one class totally, help DPS to primary target, slowing other classes with CoT, CoW, CoEx. And a little bit DPS to the rest.
