2v2 arena spec with rogue partner

Just looking for feedback on spec choices for 2v2 arena with a rogue partner, I've tried felguard and it works ok and after respecing for a raid I decided to try another build, any advise on what would work better with a rogue, I'm sl/sl to try that out right now but I've only tried one arena battle with my current spec and I'm not so sure it's as good as felguard. Anyone with experience or advise?

With a rogue your main objective is to complete the match ASAP. So you need to have a burst damage spec with some survivability. FG is the best spec for that. You may also try affliction where rogue must cover you in the first 3-4 secs against melee to let you cast UA's. Then all you have to do is full dotting both and CCing the healer while rogue's killing them one by one.

I too have recently teamed up with a rogue for 2v2. I was full UA spec and survivability was an issue. Reason is you will be primary target cause rogue will be stealthed. So even before you get a chance to cast UA you could be over run. We came out against a 2 x rogue team and i was dead before i knew what had happened. We still won 4 out of our first 10 matches which wasnt bad for our first attempt.
Anyway I have since re specced 27 / 34 / 0 for a Sl/Sl build. Obviously it has greater advantages with armour and damage bonus.. the only thing i miss atm is the instant howl of terror. Its a spec im still getting used to, but with empowered corruption, Curse of Agony and SL still in my cast bar it should work better.
Also bring out your FelHunter to devour magic + spelllock
