Re: multiple mob help

40/21/0 is the ultimate multiple mob grinding spec - you'll never run out of mana with a sacced felhunter + Rank 1 drain soul to finish off every mob.

Re: multiple mob help

ok.... respecced to a different affliction 'lock.... here it is... http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=Iq0riMfzVtbZfxc0I

1. cant take on more than 3 mobs or more...
2. my damage output is much lower than my previous build because i lost about 110 sp damage bonus from losing demonic knowledge and master demonologist.
3. siphon life is only ticking for 130ish rather than 160ish
4. drain life is only ticking for 230ish rather than 260ish

can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong? do i really really really need UA on the first mob?

Re: multiple mob help

Improved Drain Soul is a very nice talent to get which you are currently missing. 1k mana per kill return is very nice indeed.

The problem you are having is that your gear is just not up to spec now for this type of multi-mob grinding. You do about 200dps with your 3 instant casts, which means that most mobs your level will take about 25 seconds to die. Thats just too long.

Your stamina is way too high and your spell damage is too low. To put that in perspective, I am collecting T5 raiding gear, and I have basically the same level of stamina as you do! Health is important, but you really don't need more than 6k at your level. You should have received quest rewards that are better than the gear you are currently wearing by now, even from Hellfire Pennisula and Zangarmarsh. Did you do many quests as you levelled? If so what happened to that gear?

Re: multiple mob help

I'm 70 with a few epics and +891 shadow damage, and my health is only 7.5k without Blood Pact. All your gear is "of the sorcerer" stuff which is good to fill slots but there's much better gear from quest rewards. Do you grind rather than quest? There's a lock in my old guild that got to 70 that way but he was massivley undergeared.

Anyway, as I think i said earlier you've got to kill things quickly not just outlast them. A spec like this will help:

http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IVzrqRfkqtbo0LZxx0z

But you still need a touch more spell damage and even then don't expect miracles. I managed to die yesterday after pulling 7 or 8 level 67-68 mobs - still don't know how I did that.

If you can be bothered going back to HFP and Zangamarsh do the quests to get the Shadowcast Tunic, Telhamat Pendant, Deepcore Lantern, and there are loads of rings you could pick-up. Or just grind to 70, then use the gear guide to get kitted out. Outland is dripping in gear that you can get very quickly.

Re: multiple mob help

Try this , it may work:

Have a moving speed increase enchantment.

Send VW to the targets with auto suffering and torment. Let it attack to each one followed by a SoC and Sili. Now you can make a couple of life taps and wait for the seed blows. After the blows they'll head towards you. Now sac your VW , refresh a few SoC's before they reach. Hot or Ihot when they come and start running away refreshing Coex, Corr and Sili. They'll all die before reaching you. ıf your VW is about to die during initial attack, sac it and summon a second one if you have FD.
