Re: [PvE] how you manage more than 3 enemies?
Depends on the group and build. If you're affliction, then dot 'em up, iHoT, and fear the first one that returns. SB and keep 'em feared. Are the enemies higher level...then that would depend on your own skill level.
Here's how a grind session usually goes for me: (Netherwing daily, killing those damn ravagers) DoT up about 4 or 5 with Curse of Agony, Corr, and SL; iHoT and drain life one of them; wait for nightfall procs. It is really just a matter of getting used to the chaos of multiple battles. Know your enemy too. Melee are wonderful to fear kite while ranged are a serious pain. Use all your instant dots and liberal use of fear should help. Experiment and get used to the battles. Keep in mind that my gear is pretty good so don't use me as an example. Taking on 3 mobs at 58 is tough. Taking on 5 mobs at 70 is not so much. If you want more info I can try to explain a little better, but I hope this helped some. GL and happy grinding! |

Instant Howl of Terror, instant dot casting, constant moving, then drain tanking. Takes alot of practise. A heavy affliction build would help better than your current hybrid build.

Or to be fair so would a heavy demo build. At level 58 you should be 41 points into at least Demo or Affliction for leveling efficiency. I am demo right now, but going back to Affliction this weekend. Aff is more fun for me and just a great all around build that suits my playing style better. If you like your pets more go FG.

Marsyx
How does your current 42/0/19 build work for you? I figured going nearly full affliction you would mostly be using destruction instant casts (wondering why intensity). Still low lv afflic myself so let me know why you decided to go the way you did (have no pvp exp.). To everyone else: Sorry about this being off topic, but can't PM here, and don't know of any lv 70 affliction locks. Thanks. ![]() |

Re: [PvE] how you manage more than 3 enemies?
You don't even have to move when your affliction...
Start off with SL, then Corruption and Curse of Agony, run around dotting up the various mobs and start draining life of the first mob you dotted. IHoT if you really need to and use deathcoil on the mobs with the most HP to gain back some health. Use drain soul when a mob is just about to die to get some mana back and dark pact to full mana. Once you get comfortable you can start shadowbolting when NF procs, but most of the time it is just a waste of mana, alot of the time even Curse of Agony is a waste. Rinse and Repeat. Destruction and Demonology are useless trees for grinding anything when compared to Affliction. |

Re: [PvE] how you manage more than 3 enemies?
It doesnt matter if your aff or demo. Either tree if you go deep down enough is great for taking on 3-5 mobs. dot-fear-sb-instant-DL-HoT-dot-etc. keep moving. Create chaos for them. dont let them create chaos for you.
FG is great too, tanks very well, and has intercept. if you controll it manually, its a winner. This is great for melee classes btw, for casters, i never tried more than 3. |
