problem with damage...

Well, i have a problem. Was doing Botanica with PUG, Pala Tank, Shama Healer, Mage, Rogue and me. In the end Pala posted dam meter results.
35% Mage
25% Me
20% Pala
10% Rogue
10% Shama

WTF??? Why my damage is so low? 760 spell damage not buffed, 80 Spell Hit, 14% Spell Crit, Affliction specced.
Trash rotation - Corr, SB, SB, SB (Corr for Nightfall procs).
Boss rotation - Curse of Agony/CoD, UA, Corr/Soc, SL, Immo, SB, SB, refresh

Honestly, I think the rogue has bigger problems than you. See no problems with the damage meter... Since you haven't posted the mage's armory link, it's hard to tell whether or not he outgears you.

because you are affliction, so your damage gets better over longer fights. the mage is..well..a mage. his damage is better on the fights that do not really count much, the trash.

Next time, take a look at the damage meter for just the boss fight. If you are not out damaging an equally geared mage on those fights, then you should look into changing somethings. But in this case, I would bet that you are just seeing the totals from the entire run, and getting out damaged on trash which is not abnormal.

yes, that were the results of entire run. I have no damage meter, threat meter only, and it showed nearly equal threat for me and mage, sometimes (when i used SoC on trash) my threaet ws higher. And yes, he overgeared me slightly, but 10 percent between me him... And most of all only 5 percent between me and TANK!!!
And rogue was equipped in 1 epic, 3 blues and other gear was green, it was his second instance

Relax, you're doing fine for your spec. As someone else said, posting a link to the mage's armory would help.

I have a pally tank alt. Its not abnormal for a pally tank to be high up on the damage meters. Pally tanks output a great deal of damage compared to Warrior tanks.

Bot also has a lot of aoe pulls, this is where a pally shines so you will probably find that the mages/Pallys instant Aoe was killing the trash pulls faster than your seed. But as people above have said, its Boss dps that counts, trash dps is just makes things go a little quicker.

Gets some damage meters and reset them before each boss :-)

I posted something similar a while back - Mage pawning me in heroic Underbog. I wouldn't worry too much, afflocks don't have the burst damage that a mage has so it's hard to compete on trash. I started Kara after that UB run and found that I'm regularly 1st or 2nd on boss fights (even when on partial CC duty).

If you want, install your own damage meter and reset it at the start of every boss fight. You should feel a lot better after that.

IMO your pretty much fine with the 'order' of damage compared to the mage. You have 760 spell damage which is relatively low, I run with +1200 elf buffed. It is not uncommon for a mage who knows how to play to out damage anyone if they are pushing it.

I would be much more worried about how low the Pally Tank was, especially in Bot with all the AoE pulling. As for the Rogue .... either your Pug AoE'ed the entire instance or that guy was asleep half the time.
