Breaking Stuns
Hey there fellow Locks!
I'm a level 25 Affliction Lock and am having a time learning how to break stuns. I was getting caught up last night pretty good w/ the Harpies in Stonetalon Mnts and it was pretty frustrating. I have been trying to read up as much as I can but info concerning breaking stuns is eluding me. My build is a little off with a few misplaced points in Curse of Agony and a point tossed into SB but I plan on respecing once I level a higher. Thanks for the help. I think this site is a great help. The other forums are so littered with non-information it is hard to muddle ones way through, but this one is great. ![]() |

Re: Breaking Stuns
And a load of levelling if you're 25... it requires level 60.
In enemy mobs, stuns are just to be dealt with, they get them in the place of other abilities, enrages, spells, silences, mana drains, counterspells, etc. Every players/class/spec combo will have different issues with different enemy skills, so just pick ones you're comfortable with when grinding. For PVP, it's a whole other game, but most effects have dimishing returns in pvp anyway. |

Re: Breaking Stuns
Stuns do have DR, with the exception of Cheap Shot being on its own DR - if two Rogues hit you with back-to-back Kidney Shots, the second one is half-duration. Similarly, if you get hit with 3 Intercepts in succession while running a flag in WSG, you'll be immune to further stuns until the DR timer is up. The problem with most stuns is that you're dead by the time you'd hit DR anyway.

Re: Breaking Stuns
Does the mace spec stun proc suffer from DR or it is so random/infrequent that it doesn't matter?

Re: Breaking Stuns
mace stun indeed has its own dr, you get the initial 3sec stun, then 1.5, then immune (so annoying when i was maces on my rogue
