Solo MgT

Is this possible at 80?

Never got a chance to do any runs before and wondering if I can solo it at 80 for the pets and mounts.

Re: Solo MgT

Moved to the 5 man instance section of the Burning Crusades.

I'm kinda curious if this is possible too.

If someone clears trash for me, i could try it orherwise its way too long.
Those boss fights were too fun, and nobody runs it anymore.

Re: Solo MgT

I've soloed MgT on heroic. Here's what you'll need:

Gear:

I'm running a combination of Deadly and Hateful Gladiator gear. I would suspect that a similar gear layout in PvE gear would also work, but if you have the PvP gear I'd lean that way for the added Stamina. If you have a set of Glacial gear gemmed and enchanted for Stamina, that might work as well.

I run glyphed for Felguard, Void Walker, and Health Funnel.

Build:

The build I favor for solo farming old content is 21/50/0. It's slow and steady, and supports your pet tanking some of those bosses. You'll be going back and forth between the Felguard for situations where you need to pick up adds quickly, to the Void Walker on most single targets.

Bosses:

Most of the bosses in MgT are pretty easy, with the notable exception of Priestess Delrissa. Depending on the number of healer adds, this can be a tough fight. I'd use your VW on Selin Fireheart, Kael'Thas, and the Priestess with only one healer add. I'd use your Felguard on Vexxalusm, as that one is a bit of a DPS race, and on the Priestess if you have two healer adds.

Once you get into a good flow, these runs are in the area of about 30 minutes each. Keep your bags pretty empty, as you can actually net some decent money from DE'ing the greens here while you're farming your mount and pet.

I dont get how you can handle the arcane debuff on vexallus, or
the adds of delrissa.
As far as I remember, they hit extremely hard.

Re: Solo MgT

Vexallus is very much a DPS race, hence the Felguard. You need to burn him down as quickly as possible. Don't forget to Soul Shatter, as you will absolutely pull aggro with the damage you need to kick out. As for the Priestess, unless you've actually run this build with this gear, while glyphed for Void Walker, you can't really get a good picture of just how much HP you can get this guy to. If you're still having trouble, you can always use stamina scrolls on your VW, but you can really hit crazy amounts of HP on this guy. Go ahead and look up VW tanking on 3 drakes for an idea of what's possible.

Once you've got some gear to work with, you should give soloing some of this old content a shot sometime - it can be a lot of fun!

Well, I can understand that vw is extremely resistant, but my concern is that Delrissa and adds have nearly no aggro, and as clothies we're not really good tank. ;)

Here's where your gear can really come into play. If you don't have a healthy chunk of HP, you will die. I favor the VW for this fight due to the sacrifice absorbing about 10K damage when talented. You'll almost certainly go through a few shards in this fight. If you've ever run sl/sl in the arena, you'll definitely have a leg up on other Warlocks as far as what you need to do to stay alive for this fight. If there's just one healer, it actually isn't as bad as you might expect. Two healers can really be a pain, but it is possible.
