Re: Dark Pact???

i agree with you for raiding ect but i think dark pact is better for soloing cos your not loosing health which you need to keep up a steady rate of killing (i never like to stop and drink if i can help it)

1. I only Dark Pact when my pet is set to passive (usually the imp). During raids there are boss encounters where its easier to just leave it on passive. Sure you lose out on the pet dps, but youll lose out on more dps trying to keep your pet in check.
2. The same could be said about Life Tap.
3. I get 3k mana from Dark Pact, on Life Tap its showing on the tooltip that its less then 3k. I dont know if Dark Pact is affected by spell power, but my Dark Pact tooltip is showing 1200, but I am getting 3k. I havent tested it on Life Tap if there is a similar jump, but there doesnt seem to be. With the imp (no imp imp) it takes about 7 secs to get his mana back when hes set to passive.

I dont see why people dont get it.

Re: Dark Pact

With the new Glyph of Life Tap, Dark Pact will be much less useful. IMO, in Ulduar DP may be useful unless your healers are very good and/or have been raiding it on the PTR.

Re: Dark Pact

The bigger issue with Dark Pact is that:

- It depletes your pet of mana

- It works best if you use the fel puppy and also put 2 points in Improved Fel Puppy

And frankly, for PvE / Raiding - there are a lot better places in the Affliction tree to spend 1-3 points. Or for getting 1-3 points deeper into the Destruction tree to pickup at least a few points in Ruin.
