Re: Eradication
with no C/D it would be OP ![]() with 30 second C/D it's really not worth putting 3 points into it. I saw some maths which suggested one point was all it was worth (due to the average chance of it proccing vs the cooldown) so...one point for me and I'll put the other 2 into malediction (70) or ruin (at 80). My scores above are based on one point in it, not three. on the other side, in testing, I did find that even if I delayed a dot refresh for a couple of seconds to pursue SB spam during eradication, my dps seemed to increase slightly. NB. the maths was on mmo blue tracker and I remember the dev saying something like "thanks, we'll look into it". |

Re: Eradication
Until they fix the cooldown, invest only one point. Like the previous poster said, the math makes this talent have diminishing returns after one point. Blizz is aware, so it may change in the future and be worthwhile, but as of now, only put one point in it. |

Re: Eradication
i would like to know if any1 found whats better to do with this talent proc. is the haste effect worth switching to sb spam, or is it better to just keep rotation up? i tend to refresh haunt and UA, but not touch SL. basicaly haunt goes without saying, so im just asking , what do you guys think (per casting time). glyphed UA, when eradicated is very fast. is it worth refreshing it during eradication, or better SB spam? |

Eradication, how many points do you need?
With the new gear itemization, it seems beneficial to shoot for 11% hit. With a shadow priest's misery and 3 talent points in each tree you are hit capped, of course. The big question is, where do the points for Cataclysm come from? With a hidden cooldown on Eradication, I wonder how many points we really need in there. I took 1 point from eradication and 2 from ISB to get Cataclysm, but maybe I could get away with 1 point in eradication and still have it proc fairly regularly? Someone has run the tests on this i'm sure ![]() Also I notice people dropping dark pact to get an extra point in the destro tree, how is that working for you guys? Are there fights where you wish you had it, or do you not even notice its gone? Thanks in advance for your responses and I hope I posted this is the correct section. Ukfu, Anetheron |

Re: Eradication, how many points do you need?
calculations show that 1/3 eradiction is enough. still i feel (just my feeling!) that 2/3 or even 3/3 shows a higher proc rate. |

Re: Eradication, how many points do you need?
I went for the recommended 1/3 points in eradication, but i found i wasn;t proccing enough. I might try put 2/3 there, to see if it helps. Biggest problem for me amt is that i'm hit capped, but i'm forced to have at least 2/3 in supression to be able to go down in the tree. And it kinda sucks. I can't put 2/3 supression and 2/3 cataclysm, and regem for spd instead of hit to stay at the cap and not over it, cose i don;t have enough points :( Damn you blizzard for building trees like that. |

Re: Eradication, how many points do you need?
Spending 1/2/3 points in Eradication effectively gives you 2%/3.5%/5% increase in Haste. Although you don't get a good return-on-investment on the 2nd and 3rd point i.e. the first point "increases" your Haste by 2% but the 2nd or 3rd point only "increases" your Haste by 1.5%, it is still good to invest 3 points into Eradication. 5% "increase" in Haste is pretty good. |

Re: Eradication
It says spell casting speed. I'm assuming that only relates to spells with a cast time and doesn't change the GCD, right? |

How Does Eradication Work in 3.1 ?
So per the PTR release notes: Eradication re-designed: When you deal damage with Corruption, you have a 2/4/6% chance to gain the Eradication effect. The Eradication effect increases the critical strike chance of your Shadow Bolt spell by 30%. Each critical strike reduces the critical strike bonus by 10%. Lasts 30 sec. My questions are: After a shadowbolt crits and drops the crit%, does Corruption continue to have a 2/4/6% chance to proc to bring it back to 30%? or does it not have a chance to proc until 30 seconds have elapsed? Is there an internal cooldown for this proc? Thanks, just trying to understand the usefulness of this re-designed talent. |
