For an affliction warlock, this is a pretty important talent to have. Gives you a chance to slip in an extra Shadow Bolt in your rotation. |

If you're going fairly heavy into affliction, you definitely wanna pick this one up. Having an instant SB to throw around is really nice, especially in fights where you need to move a lot. Combine this with the glyphs of corruption and SB and you'll be pretty happy. Just last night I was in scholo helping someone out and i think i had one or 2 corruptions up and i got 4 nightfall procs in a row (that was with nightfall and the glyph). Don't know what i'd do without this talent. Having Necrosis also helps make sure you don't miss when it procs, thanks to the helpful voice announcement. |

Pretty much agree with Garagos, must have for afflock. I run with the same 2 glyphs, which ends up giving you an 8% chance to proc. I had 3 in a row and with the lower mana cost on SB it's nice. Plus there is no reason coruption should end with haunt helping refresh it. With all the movement needed for end bosses being able to throw a bolt while running is always a nice DPS boost. Necrosis is a big help for procs, Nightfall/backlash. |

Is ok, but not top of the game talent/glyph. If only it allowed to cast a shadow bolt, outside of CGD... now THAT would be awsome. Basically what it does is allow you to cast a shadow bolt in 1.5 seconds. Nothing that ubber. At least for pve. For pvp, it can make a difference in burst damage. But definitely not a "must have". |

I love the talent, especially combined with the glyph. It can definitely make the difference in a tight PVP battle. I use Warlock Alert, customizing it for full-screen red demon face makes sure I never miss a single one! Plus the custom edge-flash for low mana/health helps when you are concentrating on that would-be ganker and you start to run low. Last edited by Plavonica; October 24, 2008 at 04:34 AM.. |

Nightfall doesn't add a lot of dps in the lng run, but it's a must-have anyway, because it's FUN. You always feel a little better when nightfall procs - even if it has no real effect on the fight, you still feel good about slipping in an extra bolt  And don't forget the new Glyph - it stacks (more or less) with Nightfall for nearly 8% proc rate. |

I changed my talents up a little after Wrath of the Lich King. I picked up this talent again and so far, after 30 min's of having it, I have yet to see it proc once. is it bugged?

It works fine - I just wish it would proc off of UA in addition to Corruption. (So the more DoTs I toss on the target, the more possible procs I could get.) |
