Re: Fel Concentration

Even with the changes to spell pushback mechanics in v3.0.2, I think affliction warlocks should at least consider putting points into Fel Concentration. When I didn't have it, and was out soloing, I often wished that I had it.

In other situations, it's less useful, but it's a good place to put points in order to gain access to the 4th tier of affliction talents.

Fel Concentration in Raids & PvE

Is it really necessary to put 3/3 in Fel Concentration? Has anyone experimented with 1/3 or 2/3 and seen any perceptible difference? How difficult does having no points really make drain tanking in PvE?

I'm an afflic lock who primarily raids, so I'm guessing Fel Concentration isn't too important in a raid setting, but I don't want to horribly gimp my PvE mat/gold grinding if I don't have to.

Any advice?

Re: Fel Concentration in Raids & PvE

I have 3/3 in fel concentration, but tbh i have it only cose there was no better place to put the talent points to advance in the tree.
Altough now if i look at it, having 2 into drain soul would be better for less aggro.
Till now i found no fight where i had to drain tank anything.
I'd love it if concentration would apply to Seed of Corruption, but it doesn't.

Re: Fel Concentration

I had this talent pre Wrath of the Lich King and it was pretty useful while soloing.
I didnt take it in Wrath of the Lich King, and cannot notice any difference.
Not really an important talent in my opinion.

Re: Fel Concentration

With the pushback changes, this is widely considered to be a wasted talent point sink for PvE. It retains some modest utility in group PvP and while soloing.

Re: Fel Concentration

Even with the pushback changes, it's still a useful talent.

I spec'd out of it after the changes to pushback, and spec'd back to having 3 points in it after only a week or two.

Re: Fel Concentration

I generally drain-tank when grinding/farming, and I originally took all my points OUT of this skill after learning of the new pushback changes. I promptly put 1 point back. No points at all makes a big difference, even with the pushback changes. On the flip side, I've found that just 1 point does suffice now.
