Looks like everybody is always #1 on the dmg meter

Isn't it a coincidence, how many dpsers out there are always first on the damage meter. A good 120% of them in my experience. I once heard from a couple dpsers who had played in the same party and they were actually both first. Amazing. Affliction, destruction. Paladin even.

While the sarcasm is probably not the best way to start a thread. I agree that almost everyone that is DPS brags or states they are number one on the damage meters (Not here for the most part but in game) The only time I am number one on the meters is when the rogues and hunters are auto attacking :P J/k I don't top meters all the time but in the top three is good stuff.

I think every class should have feign death btw. Then I would be number one all the time!

The damage meter is not 100% accurate in my experience. This is why it is best to have at least 2 people with damage meters, this way you have a lower probability of being more bias towards your own score.

Locks are among the elite at cranking out DPS, so it's not unrealistic for a large proportion of Locks to top the charts. It is esspecially easy for a Destro build to top the charts on trash, and Affliction Locks are amazing on boss fights. In Kara, I'll usually be 2nd-4th on the trash and 1st-2nd on bosses. It all depends on group composition.

I totaly agree with the OP, seeing locks bragging about 6-7k conflag with only 700 sp is absurd, and hearing everyone being #1 in DM makes me yawn.
In raid bosses i usualy am #1 45% of the time, #2 30% and #3 20% if they let me go shadow
In raid bosses i usualy am #1 30% of the time, #2 35% and #3 30% if i go fire, but i have an easy time with pots due better DPM and the use of CoE
It happens sometimes that i am semy AFK and my DPS is not in the top 3.
In trash i do bother seeing the Damage Meters, but as Destro it should not be much worse

damage meter is accurate if you have everyone sync and clear them. On trash mobs I'm #2, affliction locks just don't do burst dps unless you get lucky with 2 nightfall procs. However, on boss fights where you have to be mobile and can't stand and nuke, I'm always #1.

haha so true! Those pesky rogues always on top >.< Well not always, but anyway hehe, hunters don't normally give me a problem, and the only time i'm NOT in the top three is when I d/c hehe

I don't play with damange meters so I can't really say what spot I usually get.
I do have threath meters, and I'm usually around in the middle.
