Good Alternative to wowhead.com
Hi all,
I'm sad to report that wowhead has changed all their ads to those with sexy butts underwear or seeking "friends" in a suggestive way. Any other sites offer close to wowhead's clean interface? Dun like Throttbot... |

Re: Good Alternative to wowhead.com
actually your comment surprises me until i realize that Firefox has blocked all of their adds. (Firefox ftw).
Highly recommended for you so you can still use wowhead |

Re: Good Alternative to wowhead.com
Hmmm... off-topic, how to config firefox to block ads? Is it build-in or a third party install?
I use firefox at home but my office uses IE and having butts splash over my screen is as good as asking for the boot... :P (well so is surfing wow stuff but I could do it discreetly, the butts are just too flashy) |

Re: Good Alternative to wowhead.com
for what its worth, theres a good way to use wowhead for quest info without seeing a single add. the mod is called lightheaded, and it provides the quest info and user posts from wowhead into your quest interface. No more alt-tab to look up quest info.
Combine this with tomtom, a map add on, and you can click on the coords in the quest screen and get an automatic waypoint on your map. BEST MOD EVER for questing.... available from curse gaming site |

Re: Good Alternative to wowhead.com
You mean to tell me I have been missing out on porn advertisement because of Firefox
.I don't run any addons for Firefox that block pop ups or adds. I do run Spywareblaster and Spybot search & destroy. Those 2 keep pop ups, etc down to a minimum for me. |

Re: Good Alternative to wowhead.com
www.noscript.net (Firefox plugin)...
Allows you to disable ads inside of the html-code. !! Keep in mind to support the DEN. Don't disable any of them to support Akasha's hard work on this site. |
