Re: Soul's Journey
Chapter One The Beginning I was once a mighty elven sorcerer master of all forms of magic. But in the Battle of the Well, while holding the eastern gate of Silvermoon, I was struck down by Arthas, The Fallen Prince, and was left there to rot. After the battle when Kel’thuzard was resurrected as a lich the massive energies released affected my body, as one of the most attuned of the elves. I rose as the undead but with my mind relatively free of the control of The Scourge, but I still went forth with the host, reeking havoc everywhere. Then, she came along, The Glorious Lady Silvanas, mistress of the Forsaken, and her will gave me the extra strength to break free of the control. Afterwards I became a powerful sorcerer under her command, and a trusted adviser. I lived very well but began to hunger for magic, despite being undead the effects of the loose of the sunwell was affecting me, it just took longer than the others. I began to experiment to try to prevent the hunger that so consumed my former brethren, and I discovered that the dark magics of warlocks had a side effect of unleashing excess energy, when the power was drawn from the nethers, and thus I realized that that might be able to halt my demise by skillfully drawing upon that energy when released. And so began my training although powerful and master of the energies that lie in this realm I was still lacking in much of the skills that cross the boundaries. So I started learning from some of the Lady’s most powerful warlocks. Soon I began to understand these in great detail quickly progressing as fast as was possible, but, I still needed to further my own powers to gain the amount of energy needed for my plans and time was running out… |

Re: Soul's Journey
Chapter Two The Journey “Well there aren’t too many ways for us to remedy that are there, Soul?” The warlock Geradin was a powerful one, but not very understanding of my situation, although if I dared explain he might but that would be very risky. So here we are having the same argument as always, this could go on for awhile and, Lady Silvanas might not like that. “I’m telling you Geradin, I have to speed up my powers quickly,” My head was begging to hurt from doing this every time. “There must be someway to speed it up your supposedly very knowledgeable so, how?” “I’m telling you there is no way, how many times do I have to say it before it gets through those rotting ears to what’s left of your brain!!” Aquar my imp was setting over by the lady looking like he was barely awake, but i've learned that just means he’s thinking and doesn’t want anyone to know. Apparently Silvanas knew that too. “What are your thoughts Aquar?” “Well the way I figure it if he goes out into the world and gets experience and practice there then he might just get his power more quickly, especially if he stops by a few areas full of massive amounts of energy and absorbs them into his.” “Hmm, very well then. Soul, you shall head out of Undercity and practice you powers maybe that will speed it up satisfactorily. I shall have supplies prepared and see if I can find a few companions to help.” “But, do I have too, I mean-“ “That is my decision, defy it at your own risk!!” She may be the savoir of the undead, but that doesn’t mean she’s some nice benevolent leader. When she makes a threat it usually helps to take it seriously…and life threatening. So I just said, “Very well, my lady.” -----A little later----- A so our journey began we had no clue what we were in for, how our ties would change, what bonds would be formed, or what fate had in store for us each… |
