Pregnancy and WoW may not always play so nice
So as most (some) if you here know, we're expecting our first child shortly - 9 weeks in fact
. Tiredness has apparently been my "symptom" though out it all, which when you compare it to morning sickness, cramps, pains etc... really isn't that bad. But still, annoying to always feel like I need 20 hours sleep. This past week actually saw a huge boost of energy and alertness come and I feel like I have accomplished a lot! So much in fact that I allowed myself to lazily get up and play WoW nearly all day today (Sunday). My partner and I decided to burn through some of my Priest's full rest state as I've been wanting to take her into some BG's lately, but at level 43, she isn't as much help as she could be. Not wanting to solo with her, my partner grabbed his big bad Shaman and started plowing me through quest after quest to use up all the rest state. While running around today, we managed to get not one, but TWO random blue drops from Tanaris mobs. The first was someone's firestarter - a wand. The second some leg mace. We were pretty happy. That was until, we returned to Gadgeztan to hand in quests, sell up and for me to mail off anything worth selling to my bank alt - including the two blue drops. Hrm, what's this? I can see one blue drop, but where is the other? Where is the wand? I looked over my entire inventory, each bag slot by slot. Not there. I call my partner over to have him look, double check that I wasn't imagining things, I did get a blue wand, yes? The only thing he could think was that I hadn't actually looted it, but as it was the "You receive loot: blah blah" that made me even realise we got it, I knew I had. No problem, I'll petition a GM. This is something I would wish I hadn't done. A very, very lovely GM answered my ticket to speak to me about it, only to inform me that I had already mailed the wand to my bank alt not half an hour before my ticket submission. Oopsie daisy, that must be that pregnancy memory loss I hear so much about. ![]() Thankfully the GM had a very good sense of humor and asked if I had been abducted by aliens in the past half hour and was suffering from the resulting memory wipe. Upon informing them of my impending addition to the family, they just laughed, thanked me for such a pleasurable ticket and assured me I was not any trouble. I do feel I might be the cause for a few lunch time laughs around the Blizzard staff room today though. ![]() Pregnancy and WoW... making a GM's day interesting. |

What a great story! Let's hope the little alien inside you grows to appreciate all the hard work involved with all your characters... ;-)
Thanks for sharing such a funny incident! |

Quite a chucklesome story. Thanks for sharing!
Also, it's good to hear that not all the GM's are complete robots, or wacko overboard RPers (no offense to those of you who actually do RP, but I've heard some strange tales...) |

Hehe, I think that was Jaina's Firestarter. I've also had only good experiences with GMs.

Re: Pregnancy and WoW may not always play so nice
I know it's been a while but i have a story to add to this
![]() I'm 21 weeks and expecting a boy But early in the pregnancy i had bad all day sickness. My guild had just started running Kara and needed my lock to help...as there was only 2 of us and the other was out of town. They called me and begged me to come. so i agreed on 1 condition, If i did not move for a few mins to not go far that i was busy praying to the bathroom gods. a normal kara run only took us about 2-3 hours...depending on how hard we where trying. but that night it was about 5 hours long, they wanted a full clear and was willing to wait for me lol. i felt soo bad but they where happy we had a lot of good drops we needed ![]() |
