Best AV ever!

So i was running AV last night. It was pretty late, and things were going very slowly. I jumped in this AV, and the horde had already pushed to the bridge area, i cant think of the name sorry. I jumped into the fray and started dropping SoC on everything i could target. They started popping and people started keeling over. I was laughing. We fought back that push, and they rezzed and came back for more. So i kept up my tactic of SoC on everything. Well i kept running out of mana and lifetapping, then i noticed a healer was just healing me. So i really went for it. Just stood there throwing those grenades. At one point, i had 5 Killing Blow alerts go off at once! I was almost crying from laughing so hard. We fought back about 5 more pushes from them, and then we surged forward and pushed them back to the graveyard. As we were running to that GY, these 4 wolf rider dudes appeared all level 70 elites and charged right into the hordies! I couldnt believe it! What the hell were those things? So we fought them back from that GY! Unbelievable!

So at that point i switched to O, and ran south to the bunkers and we finished off Drek'Thar then and won! 10 Allies held off the entire horde surge! It was awesome team work, and thank god for that healer who just kept dropping me heals as i lifetapped and grenaded those poor dumb hordies! ROTFL!

It was the most fun i have ever had in AV. I was not #1 in damage, i think i was 5 or so. But i didnt care one bit. I know if were not for that healer and my SoC, there is no way we could have held off that many hordies. It kept teh DPS just high enough their healers couldnt get enough heals out fast enough.

Sorry it cant sound more exciting. I wish i had a video of how it went. It was amazing. :-) Thanks for listening!

Wow sounded great.

I have not been in AV yet (I'm only level 52) think I should go in at like 55+ so I Actually do something in there lol.

Seed of corruption and healers for the win!

Its been a good weekend - 270 hk in one AV defending. Sadly there is more honor to be made this way than actually winning, and I prefer winning.

the best honor is letting one team win quickly. 20 mins for 500 honor when its AV weekend.

My third time in AV I topped the damage charts and I had no pvp equipment for that bracket and almost no enchantments on my equipment either. And it being my third time in I barely knew the objectives I just saw many alliance targets to DOT up and DOT up but on the final boss I can put so much damage on before he even aggros on me and kills me

i hate to be a party pooper...but that's the kind of attitude that i really hate in a BG. it encourages people to just not try and AFK through the BG...i don't care about extra honor, i pvp for fun. sorry if i seem annoyed....i just come across this attitude too often.

You might want to wait until you're 58+ as AV is basically a battleground with PvE objectives. If you're on offense a lot of your spells will be resisted by the NPCs and a level 60 in Outland gear is pretty hard to beat. Once you hit Outland though, AV gets really fun

AV weekend is over for me. I'm going out of town in about 3 hours and I think I may have played 30 games or so this weekend. Got my headpiece and cloak out of it, so I'm happy. Happy AV weekend to all and to all a goodnight.

I'm maxed in AV rep..was at 60 lol. Best AV i ever had was when i had 1 healer on me & 1 on my Fg. The horde tried to turtle at 1 of the Gy so the battle was on & we killled everything.
BTW thats the best definition of AV i have seen:-
"AV is basically a battleground with PvE objectives" thank you Amsiroth.
Its probably why Alliance do well at AV (that & the choke point of the bridge)

not a party pooper but most people just want honor. To many people have full areana gear, Decked out in raid gear, or even tier 4-5 gear. This is where gear truley wins over skill..So many people afk to save the frustration of being creamed by over-geared people (For AV) not saying it is right but win or lose you get honor. Noone gets max honor anymore in AV.

Back when I was 60 it was, SF, Galv, Towers, IB, FW more towers RH then drekk........now it is SF, IB, FW (on a good day) RH (Don't wait for cap and pray horde hasn't ninjed FW if we bothered to take it) drekk.....12 minute wins (been a while thos so this may be different now) and minimal honor, but they figure that much honor twice as fast makes the difference. I don't see it but I don't play anymore.

i hate playing horde AVs because we always have like 6 people just sitting in the cave farming honor. but my most incredible AV was when the alliance kept wiping on drek wetook back FW GY then when they all in on drek for the 3rd time we sent about 10 people back to base using their trinkets and took back the Relief Hut they ended up back at snowfall (we had taken back IB as well) by then our offence was at Aid Station and we came back to a crushing victory

it was sweet!
