Will it be fun again?

It finally happened; I don't think WoW is fun anymore. Ever since I hit 70 it seems everything's about gear, gear, gear.... and the endless amount of time it takes to get this gear.

Mats that demands more time than a working man can spare, 10000000 honor here, 10000000 arena points there.... I'm sick of it.

I know that some of you have been on breaks from time to time, and what I am really wondering is; will it ever be fun again?

Take a break bro.Week/month away from wow will probably be good for you.
I know the feeling ,i get sick of it sometimes too,but after few days of not logging in ,desire to play comes back.

Yes,its all about the gear after 70.You want to pvp or pve mate ?
Judging by your gear ,your still kinda fresh to 70,maybe try to find raiding guild ? make arena teams with your friends ?

Anyway,lich king is comming soon (?) ,so new adventures for imba locks !

I feel your pain , i go through that and when i do i play an alt or just farm lower instances for gold. Going for gear and rep all the time does take alot of time and I also work and have a family so i my not get it as fast as some of my guild mates but i will and so will you.Take a break if nessesary a couple of days away can do wonders trust me

I hear ya. I have obtained everything I can through honor and have capped out at 75k waiting for S1 honor gear. I just started the whole process again from scratch on my Hunter and I feel like a hamster running on one of those damn wheels some times.

I find 2 day breaks after long grinds help clear my mind and get me back into the right mindset.

seriously i just took 2 months off and came back my guild was disbanded...it feels really good and im having tons of fun again even grinding for gear :(. my gear sucked then and it sucks now but at least a month will do you good.

Most likeley, I'll stop playing until WotK is released (whenever that will be). I installed the Fallout and Baldur's Gate series again today, as well as Bioshock, so at least I won't have to go outside ;)

Aaah, Fallout. Those were excellent games. I've played Wasteland as well back in the day.

One of the only things that keeps me playing is the fact that I haven't seen the whole world yet. Once I do, it becomes a question of who has more money or better gear... I can do that in real life every day.

you have a couple options...breaks and alts.

if it's just gear and gold farming that's getting to you, i suggest making an alt. the simplicity of the low levels is wonderful for clearing the smog in your head.

if, however, you're bothered by what i call 'the daily grind', then i suggest a break from WoW. you'll know to come back when you start wanting to play again

A break could be what you need indeed.. I have been taking breaks from wow when i did not find it so much fun anymore.. one time for 4 month and the other for 3 month. Everytime thinking that this was gonna be the end of my plying days. But after a while you just log in to see how everything is, then it happens more often and before you know it you are back in the game..

If youre not happy take a break.. Gear and rep grinding is mostley about doing instances, Arena and raids so if you decide to stay on, find a fun guild to do some "social events" with and the rep/gear will come while you have fun with your mates.. ;)
