Nerf vs Tax

Hi all,

Thought about posting something about this in the official forums but changed my mind, cant handle all the flaiming 12yearolds..

First of all I have not been paying so much attention to mages and their issues. But the incoming patch and the removal of thier "tax" got me interested, why is it called tax?

I mean the pure genius of calling it tax while whining, /bow /cheer
its brilliant, the word itself is so loaded with energy its silly. Think about it:

- I would really like developers to look into the issue with the implemented "mage-tax" in patch 2.x.x

- I would really like to have the dot-nerf in 2.x.x revoked to make affliction viable end-game raid specc

Perhaps bad examples but having something called tax instead of nerf gives the issue more credibility, don't you think?

Mages = Google Page Ranking-genius ;)

I'd still like to see an improvement in one of the patches, rather than micro-adjustments and nerfs. How long has it been since something good was added in a patch.

yup - wine more I know.

If Coke was broken and not as good as Pepsi they would not make it worse to correct the problem.

Blizzard has horrible marketing strategy with regard to keeping consumers happy. A buff-before-nerf [or tax] policy would make much better business sense to promote the viable longevity of the game.

Re: Nerf vs Tax

Buff-before-nerf is not always possible. For example, if all classes are fairly balanced, except for one class that is clearly a little bit better than the rest, it makes more sense to nerf that one class than risk throwing off the delicate balance of the other classes.
