Re: Fang of Leviathan

What were you both upgrading from, what other upgrades had you both gotten recently, how active are you both? Just because you're a DPS caster doesn't automatically entitle you to everything that drops that you want. How is a Paladin expected to hold aggro if they don't have a high-DPS weapon?

Re: Fang of Leviathan

omg! adlajdlsjflakjsdlfjaosfiowa i would flip a lid. The locks in our guild are talking about the same thing happening. I usually don't get irate about loot, but if our prot pally gets that before any of the casters, I will loose it. Is that wrong?

Re: Fang of Leviathan

If loot is important to you, you should be in a DKP guild so you can get what you "deserve."

The weapon is basically the only slot where a Paladin can forgo traditional tanking stats for spell damage, and their ability to hold threat relies entirely on their spell damage. Saying "it's only a caster weapon" is ignorant of how other classes actually work. If the Paladin tanks on a regular basis for your guild, he needs to be properly equipped to do that job - a weapon with a lot of spell damage is part of that.

Re: Fang of Leviathan

Not that I'm not a warlock or anything I'm also a pally and I understand how there tanking works. Pallys rely on spell damage for their threat generation (they don't need a ton of it) so they get caster swords because they don't have to give up any of the good prot stats on armor. So its not just a caster sword and if you still say that then a pally is a caster they have the ability to cast spells.

Re: Fang of Leviathan

While I understand your desire for a new weapon since I too play a Warlock, I also have the perspective of having done loot delegation in the past for my guild. As such, I have very little sympathy for people who have a sense of entitlement about loot that drops because they think that their needs are more important.

Also this was posted in the wrong place, as it's only barely related to the description given to this forum.
