Guild Been Ninja'd, What to do?
Hi, just logged in and went to our GB for my lovely new Frostsavage set (been to see an enchanter) to find it empty, the log says a member took everything but on the armory his toons are all naked so I'm guessing that he's been hacked. This majorly sucks goat balls and leaves me asking 'what do I do?', I've opened a ticket, should I just wait forever for blizz to hire a GM? Sorry if wrong section, move me if you wish :-) |

pretty much all there is to do is wait. Blizz is decent at restoring hacks. One of our officers got hacked and ninja'd the bank. It took a couple days, but we got everything returned. Best of luck!

This just happend to my guild as well. This makes the 5th person I know personally that has been hacked in the last year. I'm sure there are countless others on other servers that have had the same problem. It sold me on the idea of the Blizzard Authenicator. I have worked hard for my gear on all my toons and would not want to log in one day to find it all gone. For $6.50 shipped I bought one for the piece of mind. In my opinion I think Blizzard should have included one with every copy of Wrath and made it mandatory to use it. It would have put a stop to all this hacking crap. Lasher |

My Guild's bank was also ninjaed by someone who had hacked into a guildmates account. Our guild leader was able to inform Blizzard and they returned everything that had been taken (to my knowledge). Cormanthor decided when the Authenticators first came out in December to get us each one as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. I giggled at his idea at first, but since this sort of thing has been happening at an alarming rate it seems, and to our guild in particular, I am really glad he got these for us. I would highly suggest that the person who got hacked rework his password and get the authenticator. $7.00 is a small price to pay for the amount of mind ease it gives.

Like above posts, have everyone in your guild get an authenticator. Well worth the money. Sucks to lose all of those mats, good luck with getting them all back! |

I got hacked at christmas. I had ordered an authenticator after an unsuccessful attempt was made to hack my account earlier in december but it arrived 2 days after the event. ![]() We had 3 officers-of which I am 1 hacked & the GM in a 1 month period.The GB was attacked twice & both time it was fuly restored. The authenticators are the way to go but I am concerrned that I need the authenticator to access the game & also my account management page-what happens if my authenticator fails or gets dropped & damaged etc. In the account management page you can "remove authenticator" from your account but how do I get to the account management page if my authenticator is out of commision?
