Dual Spec Backfired
Since I got Dual Spec on my lock (I only had it on my resto druid so I could quest as feral before), I find myself respeccing at least 2-3 times a week - between 2 PvE builds (affli and destro), 2 PvP builds (affli and destro again) and a soloing demo build. Ain't that a curious development?

Re: Dual Spec Backfired
Ahahaha Sin. More is less eh? I thought I had it all worked out with a destro pvp build & 41/30 demo pve. But now that I have 2 pieces of T8 gear I thought I'd give destro a try in raiding. So for now I've respecced my pvp build to a pve destro build until I get used to it.

Re: Dual Spec Backfired
Meh, same for me... It was very hard, but I gave up pve affliction as my offspec, and changed over to a destro pvp spec, making both my specs destro. I knew I would miss afflictions survivability, but it was a rude awakening to realize that Ony was immune to fire while running a friend

Re: Dual Spec Backfired
I have spent well over ...well...well..over 3k in repecs just in the short time ( like maybe 6 months ) of playing wow..(ever)...all you need is fulld destro ( for raiding ) {0/13/58} and meta ruin that will double as your pve ( dailys ) griding and pvp..because we suck in pvp (BG's} it doesnt matter what spec you roll LOL. |

Re: Dual Spec Backfired
Ah, yes, that dilemma. When i dual specced i began with my main pve spec as affliction and used my offspec to try destruction out. However now i've started pvping i then changed my offspec to affliction pvp. I don't have the gold to keep re-speccing (due to constant enchanting, gemming etc) so it's a bit annoying on the raiding point of view as destruction would be useful for certain bosses in Ulduar, but then again i haven't much raiding experiences so once i get to know the fights better my spec will shine better, hopefully. |

Same here. I'm spending a fortune in glyphs too. |

Re: Dual Spec Backfired
I only occasionally do pvp, even thouigh I am currently raiding on a pvp server I dont worry about having a pvp build. I use my destro raiding build to pvp with and have a affl off spec that I pull out for certain bosses in ulduar. My 10 man ulduar hard/achievment group is melee based with me and a spriest as the only 2 casters, besides heals of course, and affl can come in hand on certain fights that require alot of movement. Affl w/DG can put up a bit higher numbers that destro, especially without casters buffs in the raid. |

Re: Dual Spec Backfired
Yeah I only respecced a few times before dual spec.. in the past month I have probably done so half a dozen times. I was always affliction before so I tried out Demo for pve and Affliction for pvp. Then changed my pvp to destro. Then I wanted to try destro for pve as well. Then I tried the 41/30 spec, didn't like it but had some of the same glyphs for destro so I am back to that again.. thinking of going back to demo though as my repair bill is so much higher now than when I have felguard with me. Part of me would love to have an affliction pvp build and destro pvp build, but I'm affraid I would get laughed at on those occassions I raid. |

Re: Dual Spec Backfired
I totally agree. Dual specs have made it too easy to ask not only for a spec into dual spec but also just to respec entirely because now it becomes apparent that warlocks and other classes can spec into a lot of different things more so than before when they'd always come into the raid as a single spec. I really have 3 specs for PVE but right now my official dual specs are deep demo for giving a spell power buff to the group (and I have a set of gear for that) and deep destro which I run with most of the time. My '3rd spec' is affliction. So I don't really have much room for a PVP spec. Also, when I do switch from one spec to another (let's say I replace deep demo with deep afflic and back) it costs close to 150-200g given the respective glyph costs (at least both specs have life tap) and 50g respec cost each time. |

Re: Dual Spec Backfired
My initial idea was to have a pve affli and a pvp destro spec, then the latter became a demo spec for duoing mount runs with and I couldn't be bothered to replace the glyphs in my primary build so I just respec that between pvp and pve affli. As for how it is in pvp, I quite enjoy escaping a group of 5-8 people chasing after me :D That might be because most of the real pvp I've done since level 20 has been affli+succubus so I've got experience on my side
