Sinister Calling - Achievement(rant)
OK, on my mage alt(level 60) I completed all but this one Sinister Calling, within the first half week but only need the pet and helm to go, was in good shape.......so I thought. Here it is the last hour till the seasonal is no more and still no pet or helm. I spent min 5 to max 13 hours everyday doing trick or treat with no luck. A once "fun" thing turned into a WTF..I hate this crap. Most people wont even care, but I think this turned me off of doing any more seasonal stuff. The drop rate for a pet and a helm is crazy low or I am the unluckiest person there is.

Venting=Tavern If you did some HH you could get the helm and pet, no the drop rates arent that low, and QQ moar, there is a next year. And they arent meant to be easy. |

Re: Sinister Calling - Achievement(rant)
I understand how you feel. I was level 20ish when for halloween last year so I did half of it. This year I finish all but Sinister Calling in one day (got the pet last year, was first pet my char ever got ). It took 5 days of straight farming inns and HHM and losing the helm 3 times (!!!!), but I finally won it.

Re: Sinister Calling - Achievement(rant)
To some degree I think these things are meant to be encourage different social interactions. I can sort of agree that this makes them 'hard', but it is also blizzard's perogative to encourage a broad variety of interactions in order to make the achiev. That's why some achievs have a PVP component to them, you have to PVP. And some achievs are easier done as a guild. If you do guild runs of HH, you are more likely to get help from people who already have the drops they need, and if they are on alts, they'll usually pass to someone's main just out of courtesy so that the main can have the achiev. Pugs won't do that. Just be glad that mask achievement isn't needed. I don't think I will ever get there. |

Re: Sinister Calling - Achievement(rant)
I too feel your pain. Daily 5-packs on the headless horseman, washing an Inn in Goldshire every day, and hitting up the innkeeper for some candy almost every hour during my playtime. And having done most of this last year, all that remained to me was the pet. 1% drop rate from the candy, 1% from the daily fires, and a whole whopping 7% from the Horseman himself. You'd think -- based on probabilities and opportunity -- I would have had it in no time. It took me til yesterday. During the Horseman event, 3rd pull, it dropped. The tank got it. ![]() ![]() So we go again, and it drops again! Woot! I WIN!!! "the Hallowed" is mine! ![]() And then it drops on the fifth pull. ![]() ![]() ![]() WTB new RNG. PST w/ offer! Now if they will just be kind enough to put a Winter Wondervolt machine in some BGs...
