Eh, I like them all equally. Clarkson does bring a sarcastic bit to the show, but I do like May's ramblings and Hammond's quirks.

Take The Office, for example. Was a show made in England originally, I believe. It was pretty good. Then they made a US version. Aside from US jokes, instead of England jokes, they have a few of the same episodes. Originals are usually the better ones. I don't see why they bother trying to remake them.

Clarkson is interesting to watch I guess, but the English Top Gear would hardly be worth watching if Hamster or Captain Slow left. It's definitely the chemistry that makes it interesting. That and listening to all clarkson make a fool out of himself almost every time he reviews an american vehicle. Remember the F150 clip? Priceless!
