Classic Movies You've Never Seen

So this started with a simple post I had on facebook, and it spawned into something quite fun. There are plenty of "classic" movies out there that everyone has seen. But everyone has a few of these that they never had the pleasure of seeing.

Some of mine:
ET
Caddyshack
Any of the Godfathers

Argh, such a great topic.

Godfather II-III (I halfway watched the first one)
A Clockwork Orange
The Excorcist
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Psycho
West Side Story

There would be more on this list if you asked a few months ago, but I decided to use my Netflix membership to catch up on some that I had not already seen.

For those who are having trouble thinking of some classics, you can use the "Top Lists" from IMDB and search by decade. Definitely helps.

Not seen Caddyshack, man that is a crying shame. You gotta see that one, smoking good comedy. Put that one on the "bucket list"

Just for S&G here is the Caddyshack Theatrical Trailer

Example of some of my misses:
1. Gone with wind
2. Chariots of fire
3. Out of Africa

Re: Classic Movies You've Never Seen

Well, what originally spawned this was I watched like, half of Caddyshack on Comedy Central this past weekend. I posted on FB and I hadn't seen in, and madness ensued lol.

Not missing much with Gone with the Wind. Had to watch it for a honors history class years ago... painful.

Re: Classic Movies You've Never Seen

Interesting just saw "The Graduate" the other night so that's one down. The one I can think of imediately is "The English Patient".

I've never seen "All Quiet on the Western Front" in it's entirety though I thought the book was tremendous!

Re: Classic Movies You've Never Seen

I think the Godfather series is the only one I haven't seen at one point or another in my life. Whether I remember all the movies I've seen is an entirely different question. I'm quite certain I only remember a third or a quarter of the general plots of movies I've seen. Most of those memories of the movies I saw as a child, which is rather peculiar.

Re: Classic Movies You've Never Seen

Feels like I've seen almost every classic movie (although of course, I haven't). Slight change of topic - 'classic' movies that I have not and (probably) will never watch:

1. Top Gun - don't know why anymore, just was a movie that seemed really annoying when it first came out
2. Titanic - long schmaltzy waste of time
3. Dances with Wolves - seemed really pretentious (although I'll probably watch this one some day)

Oh, man, thats a brilliant film. A "must see" in my opinion, up there with "One flew over the cuckoos nest" and Kubricks "Barry Lyndon".
