Demonic Resilience

Hi guys . Long time forum luker here.

I have been a demo lock since day 1 and have been raiding till BT with felguard and love it. As for now, 3/3 Demoic Resilience is a rather important talent for Felguard raiding.

What I like to know is that for the coming Wrath of the Lich King, will this talent be as important for demo lock raiding. As I am not a beta tester so I am hoping some of you guys in Beta is able to give some feedback. This will help in selecting the talents once the patch come live

Thank for the help in advance guys

Yes.

Okay, in all fairness I'm not in the beta and only have experience in messing around on the PTR with the new talents, but I think it's safe to say that spending 1 talent point per 5% damage reduction on your pet is Awesome Sauce (tm) now and will always remain Awesome Sauce (tm).

In PvP and PvE soloing this is already an awesome talent. But in raiding and any high-stress encounters this talent may very well mean a healer has to waste one less GCD on keeping your pet up. Which then in turn can be used for healing something else instead. I don't know about anyone else, but I consider that a huge boon.

Thanks for the info Zashir. Yes I agree with your point. Just that in order to get ruin, we left with 56 point in Demo tree . And if we are to get all the nice talent of demonic tatics, imp demonic tatics, Fel synergy, Demonic Empathy, demonic Pact and meta we really left about 1 point for Demoic Resilience.

May be I am too greedy

Well I've been playing in the PTR for about 2 weeks now and though I've been destruction for quite some time now in live I'm going Demon when Wrath comes out. As it stands now destruction is just too much work. I'm either too dumb or too lazy to figure out the proper spell rotation (prob the former) and with demon I've been able to generate comparable dps figures in testing.

As for Affliction it's great for sustainability in long boss fights, you basically never run out of health or mana. That is as long as you don't pull aggro. It also seems to generate comparable dps to demon but honestly I've been getting better dps with demon then with affliction. Again, the rotations are very funky in affliction and hard to keep up with.

Two things that you absolutely want in demon from my experience in PTR are 2 pts in Imp Health Funnel which now gives your demon a 30% reduction in damage taken while under the effect of HF. Also you want Demon Resil which of course reduces damage taken by your demon by 30%. Between these two things and the fact that your demons are buffed with regard to HP and Armor I was soloing elites that I could never solo in live. I haven't tried Durn yet but I'm fairly certain that I can solo him with the VW. Oh yeah you also want 3 pts in the new talent Demonic Brutality which is the old Imp VW talent. Along with making your VW a great tank it also buffs your FG's Demonic Frenzy. With this talent and the other two I was able to go full nuke with the VW and never pulled aggro once and never even came close to having the VW or FG die in combat.
