Master Conjuror
Hi, I was just thinking about two things that I'd like to see improved with my warlock : First thing : the master conjuror talent : as I never use fire / spellstone (or very occasionaly) Second thing : versatility. I choose demonology because I like the fact that, using one kind of demon give you one kind of buff and that kind of utilities. The big downside is that I canoot change my demon as I want. If I'm questing and playing with my felguard, killing warrior type mobs and that I meet a group of caster, I don't waste my time summoning a felhunter, even if I would take more benefit from him in that case. So I propose to change master conjuror, make it a passive abilitie that allows you to switch from one pet to another while your current pet is alive. It will not be like fel domination, wich allows you to make an 'instant' summoning if your pet is dead. It will only gives more versatility to the warlock class : - you're with your imp in instance : the priest is being attacked by an add : switch to succubus : charm - again in group you can call your felhunter to stop healers, than when there is no caster left you call you felguard back ... and so on Of course the switched pet will be summoned with the same ratio HP left / HP tot that the old pet have what about this ? |

To me, this sounds more like a replacement to the Master Conjuror talent than a change to it as the end result is vastly different. While I think the idea is kinda neat, being able to instantly replace one already summoned pet with another, something tells me that will make locks a little too OP. The fact that you would be always able to have the correct pet out for whatever situation without much or any cooldown (as you mentioned switching back and forth in a battle) is to much. Blizzard somewhat addressed this concern with Fel Domination, keeping it from being OP with a 15minute cooldown and a very short cast time to summon a new pet. Returning to Master Conjuror though, the new stones apparently are treated like Oils that you apply to weapons for various effects such as added spell damage, haste, and crit. This change, i'm sure, will make them more widely used. I would like to see more types of stones that provide "buff effects" rather than oil types. Stones are a subtle trait of our class, and we have several already that operate in different methods (healthstone, soulstone, fire/spell stones) Here are two I think would be handy: Summoning Stone: You create a summoning stone that when used allows the warlock to summon 1 person without the need for additional summoners. (1 charge). Demon Stone: When used, grants a buff that will decrease the cast time of your next demon summon by 50%. 30 minute cooldown (as to not compete with Fel Domination). Master Conjuror would increase the effects of these stones in the following ways:

I like both the instant swap idea and the stone idea. It's nice hearing the useless stones getting changed to a buff. I hope they don't interfere with the wizard oils because that'd again make the talent useless---why invest limited talent points when you could just do one more daily and buy it in practically unlimited quantities. I'm not sure about the summoning stone, though. It may in the end cause more pain than good (for us). How about a summoning stone (1 charge, cool-down 30 minutes) that on use will teleport the warlock to a designated party/raid member? And how about also letting the talent reduce soul-stone cool-downs, too? That'd make some of us really consider taking it. Two points will reduce the cool-down to 15 minutes, allowing one Demonology warlock to keep two raid members soul-stoned. Or something that's really going to make us all consider: Master Conjurer 1/1: Your conjured Soulstone and Healthstone, as well as Healthstones taken from your Soul-well, take on more permanent existence in this world. They will not disappear on use. Conjured items disappear 15 minutes after you log off. But I suppose Blizzard really wants us to farm shards. They're not going to be that nice... |

Hi Folks. Im trying to sort out my talent trees for Wrath of the Lich King and i am thinking of taking a 0/22/49 build. Master Conjuror States: Increases the effects granted by your conjured Firestone and Spellstone by 30% A basic Firestone: While applied to target weapon it increases damage dealt by direct spells by 1% and spell critical strike rating by 49. Lasts for 1 hour. Does this mean that a Firestone with 2 points in Master Conjuror will increases damage dealt by direct spells by 30% and spell critical strike rating by 63 (rank 7). Or am I reading this totally wrong? |

I concur with Soulzar since the tooltip state that the talent increases the effect granted by the fire stone (1%, 49 crit. rating) by 30%, which would imply 1*1.3 and 49*1.3. A straight 30% increase to DD would probably be considered over the top. Cheers |
