Welcome to the discussion thread on everything "Aftermath". Talent information:
Talent Tree: Demonology, Tier 2
Requires: 5 points already spent in Destruction Talents
Your Shadow spells and damage over time effects have a chance to increase the damage of your Fire spells

Ranks:
Rank 1: Gives your Destruction spells a 5% chance to daze the target for 5 sec.

Rank 2: Gives your Destruction spells a 10% chance to daze the target for 5 sec.

Aftermath dps per point in 3.1

new aftermath dps per point.

i know i did the previous MC math and made some mistakes that you were able to correct, so i thought it might be beneficial if you can plug something together on the new aftermath.


Once she responds I'll edit the title accordingly.

Assuming Fully Raid buffed (Early Ulduar Gear Level):

+3000 Spellpower
+23% Haste
+25% Crit
100% Hit Chance

Affliction-->

Effected by:
1.13 (CoE/Earth&Moon/Ebon Plague)
1.03 (Malediction)
1.03 (Sanctified Retribution)
dot: spellstone (1.01)

Glyphed
DoT Damage
= 1.13(CoE)*1.03(Malediction)*1.03(Sanctified Retribution)*(1.2(Glyph))*1.01(Spellstone)*(785(Ba se)+1.0*Spellpower)
= 1.13*1.03*1.03*1.2*1.01*(785+3000)
= 5499.477

Aftermath 1 Point Increase:
Damage Increase
.03*DoT Damage = .03*5499.477 = 164.984
DPS Increase
164.984/15s = 11.000 DPS Increase

UnGlyphed

UnGlyphed DPS Increase
=Glyphed DPS Increase/1.2(Effect of Glyph)
=11.000/1.2
= 9.166 DPS Increase



I haven't seen conclusive Glyph math yet, so I did it for both.

Did you want it for Demo/Destro too? Its the same basic principle, there's just more talents to consider for those specs.

Fantastic. Your numbers come out slightly higher than another thread I saw, but I think yours were a bit more realistic gear wise.

If I use this anywhere I'll be sure to give you credit. ;)

3.1 Aftermath question

I have noticed that while in Ulduar each time I cast immolate I get a big yellow "immune" flashing on my screen. Now its obvious that bosses are not immune to immolate and therefore must be immune to aftermath? Or is it just the "daze" they are immune to? Just want to be sure this is normal and not either a bug or a wasted talent. When i look it up on wws it says for aftermath 100% missed...... Someone enlighten me so I understand the talent and what exactly is not hitting. Thanks
