I fail to see why a affliction warlock wants to use immolate over UA. because in my opinion immolate never does the amount off damage that UA does not even with the glyph. ^First of all those posts are from months ago before the changes to UA and Immolate (not defending their use of it, just saying). On a board like this there isn't much point resurrecting old threads and arguing over out of date and no longer applicable posts about talent builds and spells. Secondly, they are changing the life tap glyph to 40 seconds. It was the proper glyph to use before, now it is definitely the proper glyph to use. There is even talk of destro locks switching out their immolate glyphs for it... |

I know this is an old thread but just for clarification the glyphs that should be used for affliction are... Life tap Haunt Curse of Agony unless you are forced to use Curse of Elements on mobs/bosses then it's Corruption. *Curse of Agony glyph now adds a dot at highest damage at end of spell not beginning/lowest if I recall correctly. |

A lot of folks prior to 3.2 were saying that the LT glyph and buff were marginal, which is why I suspect that it will now last for 40 sec instead of just 20 in 3.2. Which fits in better with my affliction rotation. I don't LT after every Haunt, or even every other Haunt. Usually I'm only LT'ing every 30-40 sec anyway, so the glyph change is going to make me a much happier affliction warlock. |
