Aff PvP Glyphs.
after a few weeks of destro pvp ive switched to aff pvp and there are a fair few glyphs that are good for me. ![]() ![]() ![]() Currently using: Unstable Aff (-0.2 cast time) Howl of Terror (-8sec CD) Corruption (nightfall) Others: Siphon Life (+20% effect) Fear (20% more damage needed to break fear) Healthstone (30% healing bonus) Felhunter if its patched to be good. so what would you reccomend? im kind of keen on HoT because -8 sec CD is a lifesaver. |

Yeah, my favorite PvP affliction Glyphs are: Howl of Terror Corruption and a tie between: Healthstone Siphon Life Unstable Affliction I personally didn't find the Fear Gylph worth taking, simply because there are already so many ways to break fear. After the patch, I'm probably going to go with: Howl of Terror Felhunter Corruption or Healthstone or SiLi or UA |

Im basing these comparisons on the fact that the reader has a full affliction pvp arena build (54 points) and that the "standard" choices of talents have been made within the tree.Specificaly Imp HoT,UA,NF and Eradication. This is the build that i base my comparisons on Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft Ive tried to add info for arena and bg where possible to make it useful to the max number of aff pvpers. Of course this info is useful for many builds and bg/arena/WPVP,but the comparisons may not be as relevent. major Howl of Terror (-8sec CD) instant HoT is your rogue/feral stun counter attack along with teleport(assuming you trinket).It is also useful offensively and defensively in most situations.This means its on CD alot of the time making this extremely powerful and one of 2 glyphs that will aid you offensively/defensively.Almost a "must have",but each to there own. Corruption (nightfall) there's almost never a time when a nightfall proc is not helpful in a skirmish.This also adds an element of "luck" to your arsenal which is kinda fun imo and adds a random element to your options.Stacks well with NF talent to provide a regular(altho random) burst dps option that will not affect your ability to kite, other than a quick spin on the fly which is a pretty easy skill to master. Fear (20% more damage needed to break fear) not hugely useful in arena where you often fear cc to focus fire main target ,not to damage the feared target.In bg even less useful coz you cant regulate how much damage other players will do to your feared target and 1 crit can pop it anyway. Healthstone (30% healing bonus) good in 2v2 double dps combos (any 3v3,5v5 will have a healer anyway in most cases) .Not so useful in bg where you die alot anyway and really an extra 30% may save you in a skirmish,but it wont win or lose a bg for you.Of course this is useless when your hs isnt used which is quite often in alot of skirmishes. Unstable Aff (-0.2 cast time) very handy indeed,but Eradication talent will often proc giving you far superior boost to cast time without sacrificing a glyph slot.Still this is a very powerful glyph Siphon Life (+20% effect) your 3 dot combo is applied to jus about every target you engage so SL is up alot,this makes this glyph provide a good return in most situations Curse of Agony (+4sec duration) same as above,you use Curse of Agony in alot of situations,but CoEx and CoT rotations will make this less useful than SL glyph imo Glyph of Death Coil(+0.5) awesome for getting off that fear while still getting beat on by a 2nd opponent.Provides kiting benefits aswell as far as increased range of victim after the dc ends.Situational tho as often the extra 0.5 sec isnt needed or utilized for various reasons.Powerful when needed but often not. minor Glyph of Curse of Exhaustion(+5 yard range) no other option for minor slot so its a no brainer May have missed something,not an expert in arena or bg (altho i am a Grand Marshal pushing 96000 hks).Havent pvp'd a hell of alot since Wrath of the Lich King so some tactics may b dated or incorrect.I hope overall ive provided sum useful and reasonably accurate info to help other aff locks make choices in relation to glyphing.
