Glyphs for Destruction spec Warlocks?
hey all, this is my first post as i am farely new to the Warlock den, however am somewhat experienced with the class. With 3.1 coming out i was hoping for some refference to what glyphs should be used? I am currently specced 0/19/52. I like destructo for the burst, and find myself throwing out 5.5k~ dps on 25 naxx bosses. Anyways im currently glyph, improved imp, conflagete, and immolate. Any ideas on what to take next? |

I've been reading heavily about destruction since the changes in 3.1.. three years of being an afflictionist on two warlocks , now I'm planning my destruction build .. I spend two hours daily at least on the talents pages :P when it comes to glyphs , it gets complicated - however I'll be experimenting with : Glyph of conflagrate Glyph of Incinerate Glyph of Immolate or Glyph of Imp .. will try both and check the numbers.. would appreciate any guidance regarding the above though

I would take Immolate over Imp for consistancy purposes. If something goes wrong and your Imp bites it with no way to summon another one, it's a wasted glyph spot. I think the bonus damage to Immolate equals out to more than 20% of your Imps Firebolt but I could be wrong. Is the new Chaos Bolt glyph not worth a damn, though? I don't see anyone really interested. |

If you put a point or two in Fel synergy, your Imp should live longer still, according to some calculations on EJ, also Glyph of Life Tap is better than Glyph of Imp. As for the Glyph of Chaos Bolt, I saw a comment there saying the cooldown is counted from the end of the cast, so even with the glyph Chaos Bolt won't sync completely with Conflagrate. That said, with the simpler destro rotation, I think I'll still want to give it a shot and see if my 25-man lag eats the difference -w- |

I had a play with this in simulation craft. Not sure what version, I just checked the latest out of subversion yesterday. I modified the T8 03_13_55 simcraft file to test the glyphs and just ran that. Glyphs of conflag, immolate and incinerate worked best for me. I should point out I also tweaked the spec to get ISL, but the point distribution in each tree remained the same.
