Until recently I was a Demonology/Affliction Lock (Original WOW, The Burning Crusade, early part of Wrath of the Lich King), and I've grown to miss the Shadow Trance Procs off of Nightfall and/or Glyph of Corruption. Now, I know the theorycrafters say that for my Meta build they glyphs I should be using are Life Tap, Meta, and Felguard, but I'm begining to think that in practice I would be better served with Glyph of Corruption over either Meta or Felguard. The question is what is probably my best bet to experiment with replacing? Meta or Felguard? (I'm a cheap bastard, so dropping 100-200 gold on new versions of glyphs is not appealing) It would probably also help if I could replace that damn Mark of the War Prisoner Trinket with something that has HIT and an "equip" effect, but seeing as I'm Lady Luck's bitch, even when The Dying Curse drops, I loose the damn roll.

Re: Which glyph to replace?
What is so appealing about a 4% chance to proc an Instant SB? I'm almost 100% sure that it is not worth it. The glyph is around 30 DPS increase. Life Tap is worth about 150dps Felguard is worth about 200dps Meta is worth about about 50 dps So I'd drop Meta.

I have the same kind of question for my own glyphs. I'm 3/14/54 and have been using Life Tap, Inc, and conflag for awhile, but as I was rereading elitistjerks and what not, I think I'm supposed to use Immo instead of life tap, is this correct? I'm around ilevel 200, wowheroes 2100 rating. What do you guys think? |

Re: Which glyph to replace?
No. You only drop Life Tap if you have ISL, which as 3/14/54 you shouldn't.

Exactly. To reiterate many other places here. Lifetap glyph is for *everyone* except 0/13/58 Improved Soul Leech. |

Re: Which glyph to replace?
With a meta/ruin build, I would use FG, Life Tap, and Immolate. You want Life Tap to bump up your Demo Pact. I have a non-Imp. SL dest build and I am using Conglag, Immo, Inc. I don't have the life tap glyph because I don't want to incorporate life tap into a rotation and I am not sure how many life taps I will need during the duration (as I get mana from other sources). Incinerate glyph is a guaranteed DPS increase in my rotation. And the corruption glyph loses its punch due to the GCD on SB. Add to the fact that about 1/3 of the fight you are weaving decimate procs and probably not casting corruption. |

Do you think at my current gear level, I would output more dps as deep Aff.? I have no problem playing either build, FYI. |
