Official Den discussion thread for: Varos Cloudstrider Please use this thread for all questions or assistance for this boss. This is an important fight to know the tactics too, one slip and you could be dead quite easily. There are orbs dotted around the entire ring. Throughout the entire fight, he will be channelling (in a sense) a selection of these orbs. You'll see thin purple lasers from the boss to these individual orbs. It is extremely important that you find the clear area when you won't be stuck standing between these thin purple lasers. Because after only a few seconds, these thin lasers will turn into thick diameter beams that will deal heavy damage to anyone caught near them. There is also a small tornado that floats around which makes you move around even more. There can be a lot of moving around in this fight so be quick with casting, moving, casting etc. I have only done this boss once though so there may be a much better tactic.

Before engaging the boss, if you go around on your dragons and kill all the mobs flying around the platform, life will be a lot easier. You no longer will get those beams of damage randomly hitting the platform along with the lightning to orbs effect. |
