PvP server inquiry
In my desire for vanity pets, I've spent a bit more time PvP'ing lately on several of my characters; 2 gold medallions so far. To my surprise, I don't loathe it quite so much as I thought. In fact, it was semi-enjoyable. This may be due to the fact that I've been pvp'ing on my pre-60 hunter and it's just ridiculously easy.I was surprised enough that I'm considering creating a character (a lock preferably) on a PvP server to get a different kind of leveling experience that integrates pvp with day-to-day gameplay, and I have some questions. Any advice is appreciated.
1. I'd prefer to go Horde. With that in mind, could someone suggest a PvP (or RP-PvP, see second question) server, or related battlegroup, with a decent Horde PvP'ing community? For instance, in my current battlegroup, I notice that the BGs just seem more effortless on Horde than Alliance; by effortless I mean that the Horde doesn't have to debate constantly about what to do, people just work together. On the Alliance, there's name calling when someone needs a nap or hasn't had their bottle. A decent raiding community would also be nice, if it does become a priority later on. 2. I know that I can't fully get away from offensive or immature players, but am I likely to: reduce the chances of experiencing drama, and keep my ignore list lighter by going to a RP-PvP server? I may find that I prefer PvP when limited to a BG, we'll see. Any additional precautions or issues that I should be aware of are, of course, also welcome. My thanks. |

Re: PvP server inquiry
I'm happy with the Horde side on Smolderthorn. Didn't get ganked much leveling up, or on my alts, mostly fair fights in the world PvP. BG's seem to be about 60%/40% in our favor, and most fights can be a challenge. You do get the off group full of immature whiners, but it's not the norm. We also have a pretty good raiding community on this server. It seemed to almost screech to a halt in the summer, but I was still able to get into SSC, TK and Hyjal, with some guilds actively farming MH/BT and progressing in Sunwell. Even throughout the summer.

Re: PvP server inquiry
The horde on Emerald Dream seem to do well as a community on PvP and world PvP raiding. The downside is that if you join the trade channel, your ignore list is likely to fill up quickly.
