what has your guild set guild repair to?
I don't make donations required but we get a lot of excellent contributions from our members.
In our guild I have it set up like 50Gold/withdraw/repair for Officer per day 35Gold or reapair for Class Leads per day 25Gold/ for repairs for Vets per day 10 Gold for repairs for Members per day 0 Gold for repairs for new people or < 70 per day Just wondering how much Guild gold for repairs does the average member get daily for repairs in your guild... considering most would be at the normal "member" rank and thus gets 10G a day for repairs. |

Re: what has your guild set guild repair to?
My guild only pays repairs and allows gold withdraws for officers. However even then usually only a couple people actually take any money or get repairs from the gbank.
I believe that the only ones who really should have their repairs paid for are the tanks, unless there are special circumstances for others. We have a handful of people in charge of selling items from the gbank for gold and then depositing that gold or turning around and purchasing mats for flasks, pots, and other raid items. We are not a large guild however. We have kara on farm with multiple teams/alts and have cleared ZA multiple times, but we rarely get enough people for 25 mans, so take our policies for what they're worth. |

Re: what has your guild set guild repair to?
My guild generally only turns on repairs when we do new bosses on 25 mans, when we expect to wipe a lot.
The way we reward people that don't do the runs is by our loot distribution system (plus, almost everyone in the guild raids, so it's not a big deal...) Last edited by King Crab; August 16, 2008 at 11:39 PM. |

*EDIT: Doesn't apply to brand new guildies who obviously must be limited due to the phenomena of newbie theft. |

King Crab has it spot on in a practical way. You raid, you get epics, it cost you repairs and consumables. If the guild can make some money from selling Hearts of Darkness, Sunmotes or other raid derived goodies, then superb, turn on GB repairs whilst money is available, but just for the raiders / raid repairs. We also have been known to distribute money in an apportioned way when a significant surplus (rare). Obviously we also tend to have a stock of consumables for people to use as sensibly as possible for raids, with high withdrawal limit for Class Leaders. No-one is allowed to take money without goes through Officers. |

Re: what has your guild set guild repair to?
Well...our guild sets guild repairs when
1: We stay overtime for a raid. Whatever wipes happen overtime, are paid for for the guild bank, and if necessary to use pots on overtime, are also paid for by the guild bank by marks of the illidari. 2: Progression wipe nights in sunwell are paid for by the guild bank for our efforts :P |

Re: what has your guild set guild repair to?
All the guilds i have been part of, had the same policy about guild money:
- Guild bank money is to help raiders/officers with gear needed for progression (gems, resistance gear, enchants, etc). - Guild bank money is NOT to pay for your repairs or consumables. If one wants to raid, must be ready to pay and work for it. If you cant spent 30 minutes doing the isle dailys and get 100g to pay for your raid day... how are you gonna get 3 hours to do a raid? Basically if your thinking about price of repairs, you shouldn't be raiding. Go get pvp welfares... those are free. Is more like a "think not what your guild can do for you, but what you can do for your guild" thing. PS: when i say "you", im not in direct speech to anyone. Its the guild policy statement. Re: what has your guild set guild repair to?
My guild has almost 300 members...and for my rank the bill is 5g. I dont like it much cause I'd prefer to make the decision to donate myself instead of being forced to. Especially since like most people...I have no huge amount of loyalty to my guild...so leaving wouldnt bother me one bit. I tolerate it for now.

We figured this would be the best way to do it since you don't necessarily HAVE to raid to rank up (we say we do, but we got an elder or two that don't raid, and that's ok). and yeah, as I said before, guild repairs are only turned on during new bosses for the guild, or when we expect to wipe a lot. Most of the money we get for those repairs come from selling stuff that no one requests for a while, or things that we have in excess. Only a small portion comes from donations. P.S: I guess that was a bit more than just repairs, but hey, it's around the same topic. |

pots/consumables = free. enchanting mats = free.
repairs = free on progression raids in sunwell. that is all. everything else costs. |
