Re: Naxx loot

Yes indeed. Actually the reason I don't talk precise numbers, is precisely because things are obviously "beta" at the moment, and they will change. Blizzard has already said they will fine-tune DPS balance at the end, so how things scale really isn't set in stone, yet.

So I've only being stating in very general terms.

Besides, if it is a set, what ever happened to the set bonuses? I'm actually under the impression that these sets are still half-way done. (Unless 10-man sets don't get set bonuses?)

I'm still of the opinion that DoT scaling with haste needs to be done properly, though, and that "lowering the GCD will benefit Affliction too" is just an excuse for being lazy on Blizzard's part. But that's just opinion. I'm still hoping they will eat their own words and give us haste scaling with shortened DoT duratiosn, just like how they've just gave in to DoT crit. :P

PS: Actually the warlock set is also a T3 rehash if I remember correctly. I'm guessing then all classes are the same?

Re: Naxx loot

all of them are the same

cept diff colours, mage designer(s) should be shot.

given how the models are not even complete for some classes, i'm pretty sure the sets aren't complete either.

I was of the impression that Haste was going to apply to DoTs just like it applies to nukes: With 5% haste, you can cast 5% more DoTs from start to finish (in other words, the DoT deals all damage in 95.23% of the time).

Re: Naxx loot

As for the set rehashing, that seems in keeping with blizzard's whole theme for this new expansion, which is...the dreaded remake. Almost all the new 51-point talents are actually old stuff from diablo 2 and warcraft 3, and then here we come with some no-brainer armor models. We did ok, I guess...but I'd like to see either more black, or more green on our stuff rather than orange. Orange isn't a very evil colour after all...I don't want to look like a jack-o-lantern. Same goes for the death knight, entirely too much orange. I thought we'd have a lot of black and blue going on since we're dealing with the evil undead here.

(btw does anyone else think that the bare chested paladin is a little weird?)

If your talking about the bucket head set, then I am predicting these will be the tier 7 which might appear in Naxx 25.

The reskinned tier 3, seems more atm to be a kind of dungeon set for entry level raiding.

Re: Naxx loot

actually the reskinned t3 seems to be our t7 unless these Nax 10 xyz sets aren't t7 but misc epics bunched together => Main Page - WotlkWiki - Wrath of the Lich King Information

the nerubianish could be t8... higher t7? ( nfi how 25man tiers work since blizz did say something about 10s and 25s working together to get set bonus ) or dungeon blues...

i don't really mind if it's t3 re skinned for t7 since we are in Nax... it just feels odd that t3 has disappeared =S

Recycling Naxx at all seems a bit lazy to me. They messed up with the release of Naxx, they should just accept it and move on. Even if it isn't, it just seems like Blizz is being lazy. New expansion should mean new content. And I hate the Plagueheart set, it looks like some kind of crap Doctor Who baddie. Surely the artists could have put in a few extra hours on a new Naxx armor set. If you must recycle then recycle the good stuff, the Dreadmist set for instance.

Indeed....I am not pleased. Though having seen T3 I knew this was coming.

Right now, on my current server, I have a mage, priest and paladin. Based on the looks of the sets I think I need to raid on my priest. If I do play the mage or paladin then I will have to renew my suggestion that we get a "Hide Shoulders" option!
