Naxxramas to be the easiest raid dungeon in WotLK
Source: WoW Forums - Naxx 10 Man Loot and First Impressions We expect Naxx to be the easiest raid dungeon in Wrath of the Lich King. If experienced Sunwell guilds were repeatedly wiping, the dungeon would be overtuned. The raid game will ramp up over time. There will be many extremely difficult encounters for people to face. But the early bosses in Naxx are intended to be beatable very early on. The 10's will get hard too. It's not a casual/hardcore thing. It's more about ramping difficulty and progression.

fine with me i hated how BC had very little training instances where you could just like learn you class at max level without needing to juggle 16 tennis balls, eat fire and talk to you gf at the same time |

I think this is a very good decision, very few people had the chance to see Naxx the first time around and even fewer had the chance to see anything beyond the 2 easiest bosses (including me). Many of the "harcore" raiding guys has probably seen enough of Naxx at lv60 and want to go on to greater new achivements rather than re-cycling old content? So IMHO it makes alot of sense to make Naxx the "New Kara".... Now, where are those lv80 Heroic re-worked versions of Scholo and Strat!?! :D..... |

What I really like is that a complete Tier set will drop from Naxx. Hated the way they spread em around in The Burning Crusade. Specially T4. What made it even worse was the combo of 10 and 25 man instances. Im not 100% sure on this but I belive a full tier set will drop in naxx 10 man and another in naxx 25. Think its cool. And I looovvvvvvvvve the fact that they are saying that 10 man is not to be looked at as easy mode. Meaning it should be fully viable to run and be in a 10 man guild. |

Yes Kara seems easy now-after gearing through SSC,TK,MH & BT (well half of BT for me hehe). It was not always so. Kara early in my 70 raiding was, to me at least, was both a gear check & a learning curve. I had leveled to 70 as demo spec. & the guild I was in then had a requirement of 68 or better blues & 800+ damage. This wasn't that hard to achieve but what i didn't know was the +100 damage from demo spec. so i was effectively 700+damage. I also didn't know about potions etc. In the old 40 mans a raid could down bosses in MC etc with a few AFK. This isn't the case with Kara so when they say easy I think it will depend on which end of the scope your looking through. Elricc is also attuned to Naxx but I have never seen it.

Well I am certainly excited about this as well. As a relatively new player (only about a year) and someone who is VERY casual in his playing, i.e. it took me 8 months to level my main to 70 owing mostly to obsession with alts and exploration, I hardly saw ANY of the old world content and a lot of it is story oriented. As a long time fan of warcraft the idea of engaging important characters like kel'thuzad or kael'thas in battle sends me into gigglefits but I will probably never get to do most of the high-end BC content since I'm coming into it JUST before Wrath of the Lich King is about to be released and render it all obsolete. By god, I'm not missing out on any more cool dungeons! |

I love the fact that 10 mans will not be considered 'lol easy' any more. I raided 25s but sometimes 1 person can completely mess up other 24. It is actually the same in 10 mans, but at least it is possible to temporary compensate (like FG intercept on Kara trash, or warrior/shaman switching to shield to keep a mob busy for a few seconds), and also it's easier to find out what happened. Second is, unlike 25s where you can count on having 1 of each class, in 10 mans you can't: no more 'you need mage spellsteal or you might as well give up' type of fights. IMHO any fight which is completely dependant on single spec/class/spell being there is bad design. Also, I prefer knowing all the people I raid with, which is not always possible in 25s. End result: I think I'll be leaving my raid group and joining one that does 10 mans in Wrath of the Lich King unless they change their opinion
