I was perfectly fine with the attunement for Karazhan. I enjoyed the storyline, as well as having to do a few dungeons. The quest lines were a gear check to make sure you could do it, and the dungeons made it so you had to know those you were playing with. Now to get attuned to SSC and BT were way to over the top. Well i'm looking forward to it.

I was in a Kara run for a mate yesterday on a DR pally at 1974+ heals unbuffed & there was a warlock there in half PvP epics/Half really bad greens & blues, none of which were enchanted. 9.5K (with blood pact!)health points, some oddball spec that had no points in suppresion & its was going full tilt dps on trash pulls without giving the tank any time to get at least some threat. It went berserk on midnight from the start & life tapped to 20% health & then screamed when she pulled aggro & died. This is the type of player who needs some sort of idiot/gear check to stop them getting into raids & wiping them! I have seen more of these runs since the key requirement to enter Kara was removed than at any time since i started doing kara over 18 months ago.

I have to aggree with this to an extent. Attunements, no matter how hard they may be, tend to not be a problem with good raiding guilds because they have the people they can rely on to get them accomplished. They tend to be obstacles, however, to the smaller guilds and severe obstacles to the individual players that don't have groups of people they can rely on to overcome these. On the flip side to this, they also do a fairly decent job of keeping out the "loltards" that can't motivate themselves to complete an attunement to begin with. I've yet to see an attunement be harder than an instance, and quite frankly, if you can't complete an attunement, why would I want you in my raid group to begin with?

I heard that those already attuned to naxx were going to be grandfathered in and those that arnt had to complete an attunement process. Granted it was hearsay, but I wasn't taking chances. I got my toons attuned now. It wasn't exactly hard. My suggestion is simple. If 10 man versions are meant for the more casual players/guilds, then skip the attunements. If 25s are meant for the more hardcore players, then give them the attunements, they're at best a speed bump anyways. Not only can they serve as player checks, but guild checks, for guilds looking to switch from more casual raiding to harder raids. Make them complete X instances in Y amount of time. If a guild can't get the people dedicated to do that, then they don't have the people dedicated to raiding. Attunements aren't neccissarly bad. But WoW isn't designed to be a single player MMO either. Those that approach it that way are just naturally going to have a harder time.

Somtimes I miss those old 40 man raids though. Granted smaller raids allowed for better raid designe and more challenges, but sometimes there was a certian satisfaction to just run in and gang bang a boss with 39 other guildies. Good times.

ok now i'm very interested in the lore behind naxx moving to northrend

they even kept the names for the t7 ( cept they tacked on valorous )

funny the 10man doesn't have a name yet, i guess it will be the same
